Big I don't think actions are inherently bad I think actions are argued to be bad because of their outcome. So a deontologist believes killing is bad full stop. A consequentialist asks why did you kill and decides if it is bad

2019-09-30 09:17:04 UTC

See? Moral relativist.

2019-09-30 09:17:26 UTC

louis fucking christians are consequentialists in some respects

2019-09-30 09:17:36 UTC

It's not his fault, it's just a product of his lefty upbringing and education. It would be like if your parents and everyone in your life taught you that evil was actually great

2019-09-30 09:17:38 UTC

only if the deontologist defines all killing as bad.

2019-09-30 09:17:41 UTC

I'm not seeing a condemnation of terrorism

2019-09-30 09:17:59 UTC

america was founded on violence for political goals

2019-09-30 09:18:21 UTC

name a country that wasnt

2019-09-30 09:18:45 UTC

Violence to free ones self is not violence to stifle other's free expression or change political opinions

2019-09-30 09:18:55 UTC

terrorism is not bad inherently what if it was a liberal uprising in Germany during Nazi rule, I would not believe this to be bad it is still terrorism though

2019-09-30 09:19:28 UTC

right but you're basically okay with beating the shit out of people til they conform with your ideas

2019-09-30 09:19:32 UTC

Violence in defense of one's rights is not terrorism. You aren't trying to change people's minds or enact policy, you're trying to defend yourself

2019-09-30 09:19:48 UTC

one at a time guys I know im popular

2019-09-30 09:20:02 UTC

He says, not responding to anything

2019-09-30 09:20:14 UTC

louis you're changing the definition of terrorism

2019-09-30 09:20:21 UTC

No, I'm not

2019-09-30 09:20:47 UTC

ter·ror·ism
/ˈterəˌrizəm/
noun
the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

2019-09-30 09:20:53 UTC

yes

2019-09-30 09:21:01 UTC

it has nothing to do with rights

2019-09-30 09:21:01 UTC

a tyrannical government is an illegitimate government, and therefore overthrowing the government would be lawful.

2019-09-30 09:21:06 UTC

Exactly

2019-09-30 09:21:09 UTC

unlawful

2019-09-30 09:21:17 UTC

is the only prerequsit

2019-09-30 09:21:25 UTC

its an important oine

2019-09-30 09:21:35 UTC

so in nazi germany they has laws

2019-09-30 09:21:42 UTC

break them for political gain

2019-09-30 09:21:45 UTC

terrorism

2019-09-30 09:21:47 UTC

if a law is unconstitutional, it is no longer a law.

2019-09-30 09:21:55 UTC

Fundamental rights transcend law. Any law which precludes fundamental rights or given by an illegitimate state, say, a monarchy which does not allow representation, is not legitimate

2019-09-30 09:21:57 UTC

This should probably move to <#586033832277442590> anyways

2019-09-30 09:21:57 UTC

thats the basis

2019-09-30 09:22:15 UTC

@grant it doesnt matter at this hour

2019-09-30 09:23:37 UTC

This only came up because you posted a video with a guy endorsing assault as an arguement. At first I thought the video was a parody of a leftist

2019-09-30 09:25:46 UTC

'although we should concede one of these points, at some times someone on the left does through a milkshake at someone, that is because it is amusing to see arrogant people covered in milk. Admittedly not the most mature way to settle a political dispute... '

2019-09-30 09:25:53 UTC

this is what he says

2019-09-30 09:26:00 UTC

how is this endorsement

2019-09-30 09:26:11 UTC

yeah, not best strategy but fine to do

2019-09-30 09:26:24 UTC

He legit says it's amusing

2019-09-30 09:26:39 UTC

it isn't?

2019-09-30 09:26:48 UTC

No
