"I wear this beanie.. it's my thing, it's part of who I am as a reporter.."
whatever dude
We're all stupid...
talking seriously, he's mentioned that he always wears it on camera because it helps him be less recognizable in public when he's NOT wearing it
because of how ingrained it is in people's heads with his look
I have no idea how effective it is, but the thought at least makes sense
he could have done it the other way around you know, be bald on camera and take the beanie when he goes around
I think he's uber insecure about balding and all that is excuses.
Just my opinion
that's VERY possible
I bet if he got some Jim Gaffigan style hair restoration that beanie would disappear
This is what proper food looks like: Schweinehaxe, Sauerkraut potatoes and beer
the potatoes arent on the picture but you need to eat potatoes to this. Keep the pineapples
Bleh German potatoes
Schweinehaxen 😋
They don't even taste like potatoes
I don't know what you Germans do to potatoes to make them not taste like potatoes
lol I have never heard that
I had some sort of potato dish while in Germany
They said it was potatoes, but it doesn't taste like potates
It was sticky and bland
I never noticed a difference when I was in another country, that being said I dont remember ever eating potatoes somewhere else
I just don't get the sticky and chewy part
was it a potatoe or a knödel?
so made of potatoe
also there is a lot variety when it comes to potatoes
I don't know, I thought it was mashed potatoes because it was served in a roundish lump and it looked like mashed
But it's not, it's like some sort of dough
oh yeah thats a specific thing
it's basically a dumpling
where did you eat it? Because if it was at a rather cheap place(airport or something) that is often not really mashed potatoes
In some sort of restaurant/pub
Also, we learned the hard way that beer is cheaper than water
I dont know what to tell you. Ill send Matt some German potatoes to his PO box and than he can give his opinion on a sunday podcast.
Where where you in Germany?
it sounds like it was just knodel
Um, we went all over
and knodel is 👌
We were on a tour for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, so we visited a lot of places where Martin Luther lived, and some other important cities like Dresden and Berlin
