Thats why they are trying to build up the e sports infrastructure now that investors still allow them to throw money around
its why Epic are investing so much they want to hold the attention for as long as possible before the next fad hits
but for now they're absolutely rolling in it
i bet theyre banking on the epic store to carry them after fortnite fades
like how valve did
and making money on the side from a whole lot of other games with the engine
pretty much
that too
dont think it will Travis
no?
the store
it'll take time
Steam wasn't built in a day
oh, you dont think it will succeed
they have been to aggressive and a lot of gamers hate them for that
idk either, but im guessing thats their game plan
i remember when steam first came out, a lot of gamers hated it too
steam version of games were shunned
ive been on steam since hl2 came out
steam isn't particularly relevent these days, it's just that thing everyone has
or maybe it's just me I rarely open it anymore
Im not saying its impossible, in the end it depends on how good the games at each store are
gamers are advocating for having only steam as a distribution system
does anyone even give a shit about the summer sale anymore?
tons
a lot wait to buy games until the steam sales
different circles I guess
yup
I rarely buy games outside steam sales
^
ive got almost 500 games on steam
that's something I don't get you can not like a particular practice Epic are doing but some are outright advocating for a steam monopoly
I dont play games as long as I used to so I feel bad if I pay full price for them
maybe it's the PC master race type
yea i think thats stange too @Lord Zedd
I've never understood that mindset, I go where the games are
advocating for a monopoly.
has steam ever been as heavy handed as epic though
I like competition but maybe epic isnt the right one
heavy handed with what tho? exclusives?
thats all ive heard ppl complain about
