@Nutz Trijicon would be your go-to Gold Standard.

2019-08-26 14:52:46 UTC

But of course it ain't cheap.

2019-08-26 14:52:55 UTC

Leupold or Vortex would be after that, and I presume are not so expensive.

2019-08-26 14:54:32 UTC

I would also recommend adding on a SureFire or Streamlight for visibility too.

2019-08-26 15:04:09 UTC

Money’s tight enough I can’t do it now but the thing I’m currently licking to buy a light for would be my shotgun. Been leaning towards Olight or stream light. Would like to be able to put whatever is on my shotgun on my pistol.

2019-08-26 15:04:32 UTC

Thanks for the sights recommendations

2019-08-26 15:05:01 UTC

Of course you got a figure in the price of a holster when thinking about all this.

2019-08-26 15:06:38 UTC

Where does Sig rank as far was optics go?

2019-08-26 15:38:23 UTC

Man I wish this was real.

Ah Axios

2019-08-26 15:51:57 UTC

@Nutz Understandable. I'm currently paying down debt while trying to save up towards good gear but it definitely takes time. I recommend not skimping on gear but keeping in mind your budget is important.

I forgot to mention, but I would say the top two powerhouses would be Trijicon and Aimpoint. I haven't had an opportunity to use their Acro P-1 but it looks more like a tank, whereas the RMR is slim-fit. I prefer Aimpoint on rifles due to their rigidity and light weight nature such as their Micro - T2.

Past that, I've been hearing good things about Olight but I don't have personal experience with the product. I do, however, with Streamlight and SureFire. Streamlight is half the Lumens, but also half the size and ends with the G19 whereas SureFire X3000U sticks a bit further out if memory serves me right.

If you want a holster I recommend reaching out to CobraKydex on Instagram, or wherever else he has media. I'm rocking his holster right now, but I highly recommend Tier 1 - AXIS slim which is highly customizable, and kydex is molded for a spare mag.

And for Sig I can not say. I haven't used their sights yet. I only have used their P365, and that broke after 300 rounds, lol.

2019-08-26 15:53:23 UTC

Lol If my stepfather has his way that will be his first handgun

2019-08-26 15:53:57 UTC

I hope he goes for the XL version.

2019-08-26 15:54:11 UTC

Better built and not much bigger

2019-08-26 15:56:02 UTC

We have both tried the P365. Magazines are pain to load to capacity. i now fully understand “the does it take Glock magazines?” meme

2019-08-26 15:57:19 UTC

The combination of how small the P365 is, and Sig's recent shittiness on QA and QC does not spell for a good time.

2019-08-26 15:57:49 UTC

I have seen bits and pieces for the XL version, and there is hope for now. I'll have to see about snagging one and putting it through the ringer.

2019-08-26 15:59:17 UTC

I’m currently looking forward to next tax season. Going to get myself a Springfield Armory Saint AR 15 when the government gives back what it “borrowed” from me

2019-08-26 15:59:56 UTC

😦

2019-08-26 16:00:31 UTC

tmw you only get like 1/8th of what your total tax return is. big gay

2019-08-26 16:00:43 UTC

Right now I'm working on an AR build. Aero lower and BCM upper.

2019-08-26 16:01:05 UTC

I'm still deciding if I want to make a pistol, or go through the BS process of getting a SBR.

2019-08-26 16:02:11 UTC

You’re going to have to explain why the 1/8 is the big gay

2019-08-26 16:02:38 UTC

Because it's not 8/8

2019-08-26 16:03:04 UTC

I was expressing my annoyance with the fact that the total tax you get snagged, you only receive a small portion of the total on your tax return.

2019-08-26 16:03:41 UTC

I did a rough estimate, but I want to say I get about 1k back on mine, albeit roughly 8k or so is taken for taxes.

2019-08-26 16:03:42 UTC

Oh forgive me I thought you were talking about the twist

2019-08-26 16:05:02 UTC

Nope 😛

2019-08-26 16:05:36 UTC

Hopefully I snag one of these jobs after these good interviews I had.

2019-08-26 16:05:38 UTC

Need more moolah.

2019-08-26 16:07:06 UTC

I could take more hours but I’m enjoying being in a spot in life we’re I can more than get by on 32 a week

2019-08-26 16:08:17 UTC

I don't blame you.

2019-08-26 16:08:30 UTC

I could really dig a 3rd day on my weekend.

2019-08-26 16:08:38 UTC

However there’s always the inner guilt that that’s an unreasonable decision

2019-08-26 16:09:06 UTC

My department attempted to get 4 - 10 hour days approved but that got shot down because my Managers execution was retarded, and he tried waiting until the last second/slipping it under the radar.

2019-08-26 16:09:40 UTC

Honestly, it just depends on how bad your job is and if working 40 would drive you absolutely mad.

2019-08-26 16:10:24 UTC

It probably would not. I’ve worked retail the last five years and apparently have a high tolerance for bullshit

2019-08-26 16:10:46 UTC

What I absolutely wouldn’t do is work my way up the ranks at my current job. That is not worth the headache

2019-08-26 16:12:10 UTC

I remember when I was working retail, and I enjoyed working like 2 days, 1 day off, 3 days, 2 days off. That kinda thing. It was nice having a brief break in the middle of all the bullshit. But really it was just monotonous and low pay.

2019-08-26 16:12:24 UTC

Then it took me 9-months of applying to get my first IT job.
