?
That, I don't know shit about
oh okay
Materinity and sick leave vary by province.
Nova Scotia is 10 months at least iirc.
Alberta is only a few months
Etc.
a few months per year that you can be sick?
or what do you mean with that
No, I mean, materinity.
oh right
As for sick leave, I can't remember
It isn't much, though
read somewher on reddit that in the US it's like 10 days of sick leave
i mean what if you're sick for 11 days
just go to work while sick
makes no sense
Probably around 15 here because Canada can be a bit easier on you.
hmm
over here i don't think there's a set limit
that can be annoying if you have a bad cold for example
If it's a serious illness or something that can be lifethreatening, it can be extended.
Bad cold? Lmfao fuck I go to work when I have a bad cold.
well bad cold as in fever
you go to work with high temp?
General thing over here is that, if you're not vomiting or seizing, you gotta work. Of course there are exceptions, like heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Those *require* leave.
Heat stroke is a medical emergency and your employer must let you seek treatment. It's required by law. If it's something that is a bad illness like a flu, and you've been vomiting, you have the right to call in sick
Most people get over a flu within a week
It's acceptable.
Generally if it isn't something that'll take you down, you have to go to work. If it's a flu, heat illness, pneumonia, high fever, etc then you must stay home and work on getting better.
One of the major exceptions is anything dealing with food.
If you so much as have a cold while working with food here, you can be fired for not taking the day off.
Food safety is pretty uh..
Serious here.
Anyways I just realized I was ranting in a chink hifi channel. Might as well continue this in DM's.,
oh yeah forgot about it
mb i started the discussion 😛
It's fine mate xD
Anyways, I hope those ED16's get here next week, maybe even the week after.
