For anyone looking to avoid Google Chrome, Edge, Safari, even FireFox.
Dave Cullen uses Brave Browser. It's not on the list, but it is a safe one.

Hey guys, I'll be posting stuff here, if that's okay, regarding more open source stuff. I'm doing this cuz I think that it might be of use to people who wan't to try and peek at the other side of software.

Linux Lite is a great alternative to Windows. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, it runs fantastic on older hardware, like a craptop. It's really familiar to windows 7, and is a lot easier to pick up than some more traditional Linux ditributions (distros). Great for when you don't want to have an OS that has built in backdoors.(edited)

Brave was suggested to me by Dave Cullen (by that, I mean I watched a video where he talks about alternative browsers, email, etc). It's new, so not much in the way of extensions, but paired with DuckDuckGo, it is a really great private browswer which blocks trackers and cookies, among other things you can set it to do.
Libre Office is an amazing alternative to Microsoft Office. It comes pre-packaged with Linux Lite, but you can try it out on any OS (or at least the major ones). You can even save in .docx, something you cannot do in Open Office.
Here's the link to Cullin's video about alternatives to big companies. Pretty helpful.
Here are some videos which might shine a light on why you may want to use different platforms instead of Windows or Mac. The people on the open source side are not particularly opposed to the idea of free speech or busting Monopolies.
