so in trying to replace the 3.5mm connector

the one i stripped from the shitty headphones

wont fit into the silver 3.5mm sleeve. so i’m thinking that if i heat the sleeve it up with a lighter and use ice-water to shrink the connector to force it in

do you not have a soldering iron

or are you woke and you're using a lighter and a screwdriver

i was going to suggest just extending it so it dangles but it doesnt look like the enamel wire would hold up in that situation

the silver sleeve is plastic and just melted rather than expanding

but i didn’t know lighter go to like 800C
