I liked that she kind of humanised him a bit, I like Deadpool with a bit of grounding
This is wrong very very wrong https://twitter.com/cbsnews/status/1103501330230980608?s=21
Wow bigot
Yeah it was the Joe Kelly era I read
Incest is love
Shelbyville?
or the Middle-East?
Wherein people genuinely treat Deadpool like shit at times, in a non comedic way
or London?
Geez. Itβs like the slippery slope is actually happening π€
what is Joe Kelly writing atm?
I like his stuff, I had hoped he'd take over ASM but we got Spencer...
Apparently he's doing Ben10 and supervising the USM show
And working on a Spiderman/Deadpool crossover
USM got cancelled a couple years ago
His blog is talking about Mega Man stuff as well
ah so he's moving away from Marvel a bit
I think he was part of Man of Action too
But yeah my experience with comics is:
Occasionally dip into the good stuff, read shit with an ending otherwise
Manga has been π for the latter
I've been mostly following Spider-man, Hulk and X-men stuff
I've read a bit of Batman, a bit of Spider Man ages ago, Deadpool, and I was eyeing Priest's Black Panther run
And then I blitzed The Crow and Watchmen
oh and FF of course how could I forget them
>blown up due to not having the rights
Have they been resurrected yet?
yeah a few issues in
Dan Slott is writing them currently
not bad so far but still early days
I had hoped Zdarsky would take that title since he did a great job on SSM and the Marvel 2 in 1
Honestly my biggest issue with comics is the main reason why I suspect a lot of people buy them, which is that they can't afford to permanently kill the "main" cast
I didn't get anything I wanted when they did the creative shake up π
They'll eventually reboot them, resurrect them, etc
well there's no end for them so it's hard to really do character arcs
That's what I mean
TV show adaptions can do that better
They just continue in perpetuity
like Spectacular Spider-man they took elements from decades of Spidey stories and boiled it down to a core 2 seasons of excellence
Sometimes they do yeah, sometimes they continue forever instead
also comics tend to go into the abstract and absurd very easily
Anime has that problem frequently, where both the manga and anime are a million episodes long
they suffer from a lack of grounding just because of how big and weird the world is
