It doesn't matter if my gods exist or not, a life based on living as if they due will be a better one

2019-03-13 20:37:12 UTC

@Beemann no it won’t. Plenty of doubters go to church

2019-03-13 20:37:25 UTC

That's the way I saw it when I first started into faith

2019-03-13 20:38:11 UTC

There are some foreigners who aren’t believers that go to my church.

2019-03-13 20:38:45 UTC

I don't necessarily buy into that line of thinking, @SpanishAbbey . I think it may be easier to walk that path, given that you're going into a known quantity, but I don't think that's the only option

2019-03-13 20:39:48 UTC

And I really enjoy questioning and debate too much for it to be long before I've offended someone. I'd just rather live and let live

2019-03-13 20:40:53 UTC

Currently I'm at a nice values equilibrium where unless someone mentions belief in God as a core, essential belief for both them and those around them, things work out just fine

2019-03-13 20:43:04 UTC

Getting closer!

2019-03-13 20:43:08 UTC

😃

2019-03-13 20:44:46 UTC

We really need more Mike Pence memes

2019-03-13 20:45:06 UTC

The Johnny Quest ones are 👌

2019-03-13 20:45:37 UTC

Agreed, they were like stories of the future

2019-03-13 20:45:41 UTC

A lot of Christians love debate and would probably like to have you around to talk about stuff with. Would need to find the right group though

2019-03-13 20:46:09 UTC

Oh I'm aware. I used to go to spots on the 'web just for that

2019-03-13 20:46:37 UTC

Was also where I got introduced to libertarianism, classical liberalism and ancapistan

2019-03-13 20:47:00 UTC

Not from Christians, but from the same debate-searches

2019-03-13 20:48:21 UTC

Went from normie moderate lefty to voluntarist and then back up to minimal states of government, all of which included a lot of debate and self reflection. I'm not unflippable, I just need arguments I haven't dealt with a million times prior

2019-03-13 20:50:07 UTC

Also met people who were hugely torn up by conflicts in values

2019-03-13 22:29:32 UTC

Oh my god, I can barely read that article. I have a mild case of dyslexia, so my brain just couldn't keep up trying to correct just about every word.

2019-03-13 22:33:05 UTC

🔫 1⃣ 0⃣ 0⃣ 0⃣ 💰

2019-03-13 22:34:51 UTC

BBC pidgin is always good for a laugh

2019-03-13 22:35:19 UTC

Supposedly, Yang's team responded about that, and the website just arbitrarily increases the counter at a slow rate, but pings a server 1/day to get the real number and adjusts accordingly

2019-03-13 22:35:46 UTC

What a terrible idea

2019-03-13 22:36:00 UTC

and i thought he was supposed to be a tech guy

2019-03-13 22:36:01 UTC

Yeah, sounds like awful engineering either way

2019-03-14 00:48:57 UTC

goddamn BBC pidgin is amazing

2019-03-14 00:49:13 UTC

how that isn't racist, i'll never know

2019-03-14 00:59:20 UTC

You know who else were tech guys? The people that made the Obamacare website.

2019-03-14 01:00:05 UTC

Competence flees the room when anything related to the government comes in.

2019-03-14 04:06:23 UTC

👏🏼

2019-03-14 04:10:10 UTC

I’m sure nothing will happen

2019-03-14 04:10:19 UTC

Someone called them in and they had to report legally probably

2019-03-14 04:19:22 UTC

poor Desmond, that kid is going to end up truly fucked up when he hits his teens I'd be amazed if he survives to 30
