that doesn't sound like something sam harris would say
I’ve listened to a lot of Sam Harris never heard the Jews brought the holocaust down on them. Citation needed there
are you saying that people lie on the internet?
No no no the internet is the bastion of truth.
That bad and forth didn't really do anything..Oh well.
anyone have that ammo link?
and that code?
I don't have the code.

I was going to agree with a fair amount of Ars Technica's user comments about deleting or removing certain speech that is clearly trolling, though with the caveat that it's a slippery slope. After reading through the images though I changed my mind. A lot of the statements weren't trolling and by appearances could have been legitimate attempts at dialogue.
Banning such comments does nothing more than reinforce the idea you're trying to prevent. Though I'm sure they would twist a comment such as this as "trolling" too.
Trolling= Sincere opinions I disagree with
Yeah. It kind of makes me slightly depressed how many people I at first glance find "reasonable" with such massive blinders on that they can't empathize with people that think differently, meanwhile claiming empathy for marginalized communities.
You're a hypocrite to empathize with your allies, but not your enemies and then take the "I have empathy" high ground in a discussion.
*Edit* it doesn't actually make me depressed
After actually reading these. 1. Some are just dumb ad hominem attacks against the OP, so I'll give them those, don't really see how "It isn't enough" to just remove them. 2. Some are sincere opinions that should hardly be called "hate speech", but I don't see how they could have possibly been connected to gaming. So if you want to remove them for being irrelevant to the subreddit fine, but don't act like it's this great attack on marginalized communities. I also have a feeling the "trolls" didn't start the fire on posts not really related to games. 3. Some are literally just opinions about gaming topics that the mods disagree with.
Yep. I've got no issues with blatant trolls being banned or having posts deleted, but those posts weren't the majority of the ones shown in the gallery.
Why would you need to ban or delete anything that isn't illegal/explicitly against TOS? Just block on an individual level
I'm okay with them saying "this is a gaming subreddit, so posts have to be about gaming. If you want to talk about race and IQ go somewhere else." I'm also not sure if Reddit has blocking
Sure, if you've got a topic centric space that's fine. However they're also talking about "bad attitudes" and such
I'd be surprised if reddit didn't have any method of blocking

Cool. The only part I laughed at was, "what is wrong, juicy?" but it's cool its being parodied mainstream. It seems the only civil war we're going to see is the back and forth between people on Trevor Noah's side and the Juicy supporters
not an accurate depiction. he never lost his sandwich
I don't care what the Daily Show has to say... (not sure why anyone would).
The Daily Show is horrible
Was it ever any good? I liked it during Jon Stewart's time, but I was also much more politically ignorant at the time
Noah is just plain awful
^anyone see this?
Noah is terrible but he gets it right 5% of the time
5% might be a bit generous there
What can I say. I'm a nice guy
quick before reading the article. What color was the perpetrator?
Hint: the victim was a black man
I have no idea who that is
I don't know who it was either. Location south LA
Well, since you said the victim was black, I'm going to assume the perp was too.
