I will not watch this as I do with all new TV series

2019-06-04 03:33:44 UTC

Make the whole cast black, for reparations.

"Apple Just Announced It's Selling a Mac Monitor Stand for $999" ^^^

2019-06-04 05:07:17 UTC

a standard VESA mount monitor stand is probably about $35-$40USD(this monitor stand uses the VESA mounting standard)

2019-06-04 05:07:46 UTC

Does it come with free air and gravity in the box?

2019-06-04 05:08:58 UTC

I think that might come extra 😹

2019-06-04 05:10:23 UTC

Darn.

2019-06-04 12:26:35 UTC

Is that a legitimate release image?

2019-06-04 12:28:52 UTC

Yes. Those prices are accurate, at least

2019-06-04 12:29:27 UTC

Alternatively, you can buy a Vesa adapter for *only* $200

2019-06-04 12:30:42 UTC

That is beyond absurd.

2019-06-04 12:34:02 UTC

i've never owned an apple product]

2019-06-04 12:37:23 UTC

If it wasn't for the fact that my job required me to start using one yesterday, I would be content with never using any of their products.

2019-06-04 12:37:50 UTC

was that provided to you by your work?

2019-06-04 12:45:44 UTC

Yes. I'll never pay out of pocket for that sort of thing

2019-06-04 12:46:51 UTC

at least apple didn't get your cash moneys

2019-06-04 12:51:43 UTC

My biggest problem with Apple is how they handle warranty's and third party repairs. It's the scummiest shit in the tech world.

2019-06-04 12:57:28 UTC

i understand it from their perspective. as a producer, you don't know what's been done to your product by a third party. they could have damaged it during repairs and you wouldn't know. it would make sense to void the warranty if it's been worked on by non-apple people

2019-06-04 12:58:48 UTC

on the flip side, Microsoft manages

2019-06-04 12:59:29 UTC

oh yeah, there doesn't have to be that provision in place but it's a way of mitigating your risk

2019-06-04 12:59:45 UTC

it's a form of legal risk control in order to minimize losses

2019-06-04 13:00:07 UTC

but it appears as if microsoft is very comfortable retaining that risk. it's a business decision

2019-06-04 13:01:26 UTC

That's not even what Apple does @Dan V they use customs to prevent refurbished products from entering the country, and ban people from their forums for saying it's possible to do certain things like recovering data from a water damaged iPhone.

2019-06-04 13:02:56 UTC

There is also the fact that if you're not under warranty they charge you the cost of the device, or more for a simple repair that can literally be done in 30 minutes with a $10 part from a third party repair shop.

2019-06-04 13:04:34 UTC

For example there is this: https://youtu.be/K98JYRBGyrg

2019-06-04 13:05:15 UTC

Apple still has her banned for saying data recovery is possible.

2019-06-04 13:06:46 UTC

i guess i was not aware to what extent their warranty controlled everything

2019-06-04 13:06:47 UTC

They also have been suing third party repair shops for using "non authorized parts."

2019-06-04 13:06:53 UTC

and yet people still buy their products

2019-06-04 13:07:13 UTC

Because people are sheep

2019-06-04 13:07:36 UTC

i agree! baaaaaaah 🐑

2019-06-04 13:07:42 UTC

It's like buying a $100 pair of Jordans.

2019-06-04 13:08:10 UTC

They're not even that good of shoes, but you feel important because you have one.

2019-06-04 13:08:29 UTC

it's been long known that apple products are seen as a status symbol of sorts

2019-06-04 13:08:38 UTC

a fool and his money are soon parted

2019-06-04 13:09:14 UTC

you can buy a superior product for less but it's more generic

2019-06-04 13:09:29 UTC

people think the status of that product is worth the 200% markup

2019-06-04 13:09:53 UTC

i would prefer to invest the difference and make my money grow instead of buying a product that will only depreciate in value

2019-06-04 13:11:16 UTC

The image I just posted to pictures costs less than a base model imac pro
