fuck

2018-09-02 01:50:04 UTC

its fine

2018-09-02 01:53:09 UTC

i bought a cheap $3 cable and use that currently for iems on my computer, and a bt cable for t2

When wind breaks the mmcx connectors on his iems because he was too cheap to buy more than 1 $3 mmcx cable

Mmcx isn’t designed for constant detachment and reattachment <:pepestressed:327933525124841482>

I'm looking for 2 earphones. Bluetooth based for use in the gym and normal wired ones. I saw the KZ ATES can be swapped with a Bluetooth cord and a wired one. Will the MMCX connectors hold if I keep swapping between the two

2018-09-02 07:45:11 UTC

ATE doesnt have a removable cable

2018-09-02 07:45:24 UTC

and swapping mmcx cables a lot is not recommended

2018-09-02 07:46:07 UTC

Oh that's sad. Any wireless alternative that have decent sweat resistance?

2018-09-02 07:49:01 UTC

Buy a pair of some other kzs with a 2 pin and get a kz Bluetooth cable, and then get a separate pair of good earphones for normal use @apolea

2018-09-02 07:51:15 UTC

Kz zs3 is cheap and has 2 pin

2018-09-02 07:53:22 UTC

Pin cables look like that might fall out, why not normal mmcx?

2018-09-02 08:00:19 UTC

>buy kz
How about no?

2018-09-02 08:00:54 UTC

^

2018-09-02 08:01:00 UTC

Don't buy kz

2018-09-02 08:09:58 UTC

@Millwood mmcx is dogshit

2018-09-02 08:10:02 UTC

2 pin will always be superior

2018-09-02 08:10:09 UTC

How?

2018-09-02 08:10:22 UTC

Mmcx holds fucking well, what more do you need?

2018-09-02 08:10:31 UTC

it breaks stupidly easy

2018-09-02 08:10:36 UTC

which is terrible for what he wants to do with it

2018-09-02 08:10:46 UTC

the whole mmcx connector has to flex for it to click in and out

2018-09-02 08:11:01 UTC

Really? It seems sturdier than pin just looking at it

2018-09-02 08:11:08 UTC

versus 2 pin which is just 2 springed contacts clamping down on a pin

2018-09-02 08:11:17 UTC

Hmm

2018-09-02 08:11:19 UTC

2 pin is recessed with a plastic body so you cant really munt it

2018-09-02 08:11:26 UTC

unless you bend it when its out of the socket

2018-09-02 08:11:47 UTC

Well, that shouldn't happen unless you're retarded

2018-09-02 08:11:49 UTC

Damn

2018-09-02 08:12:01 UTC

Should've bought v80s

2018-09-02 08:12:18 UTC

mmcx is generally fine if you dont unplug it like ever

2018-09-02 08:12:25 UTC

but otherwise its just a shithouse connector

2018-09-02 08:12:34 UTC

i really wish we had a good screw in standard for iems

2018-09-02 08:12:46 UTC

you get the best of both worlds

2018-09-02 08:12:58 UTC

How long will it last plugging it in and out?
15 times?

2018-09-02 08:13:12 UTC

no ability for the pins to come loose, and no flexing of the entire connector

2018-09-02 08:13:20 UTC

if only smc was smaller

2018-09-02 08:13:29 UTC

@AstroJannah ive had some die from less

2018-09-02 08:13:40 UTC

<:pepestressed:327933525124841482>

2018-09-02 08:13:48 UTC

mmcx is just a really dumb connector for iems

2018-09-02 08:14:07 UTC

it was designed for network antennas which needed to be stiff and tight fitting, but be able to rotate
