CCP forces are already in HK. They’ve disguised themselves as protestors to cause trouble so that Beijing has an excuse to go in there to quell the protests. Everything so far has been a parallel of 1989. The only thing left right now is whether troops will be deployed into the city.

If sources are true then they are trying to reclassify pistol braces as SBR's effectively criminalizing a large number of our populous.
And in turn forcing citizens to register it as a Title II firearm, and pay a hefty $200 excise tax.

I may or may not have built an AR pistol a few months ago, and such a ruling may or may not be rather upsetting
Do note that I'm hearing this from third party, but I will use my resources and ask them what intel they have. I'm sure some will be able to provide greater detail since they are part of the industry.
If this becomes true, however, I'll be pissed. I may or may not be in the process of building one myself.

So if someone has an AR pistol and braces are declared to actually be stocks, does that mean they'd just have to remove (and probably destroy) the brace itself? A naked buffer tube would still keep it a pistol, right?
I think what would happen there is that any AR pistol that has a brace would suddenly become (and remain forevermore) an SBR because NFA/ATF are dumb like that
Yeah, but theoretically there's a grace period before the change takes effect and you could remove it beforehand. I know the weird "permanently redesigned" thing the ATF does
