The big issue was the switch to 3.x
They didn't want to do character conversions, which is understandable
BG was already very selectively modified AD&D2e
Also on that note, Fallout was originally GURPS
i guess that makes sense. pretty versatile system
WoW is King haha
Guild Wars was fun for awhile
I got bored of WoW before the end of my free trial. Too driven by scripted content
Most MMOs require being lead by the nose, tbh. Galaxies was probably the first one I played that didnt
I mean yes and no. It's no more than any othe MMO I have played
i played wow, but thats cuz there isnt anything new thats any good
og galaxies hell ya
I like the gameplay of WoW
Play SWG revival
private servers?
If you don't want to be guided everywhere
Yeah
oh sweet
pre NGE right?
awesome
I miss the old days of Goldshire and Elwynn Forest when everyone was starting out 16 years ago. crazy
i miss the old days of starting in Qeynos
20 years ago lol.
I was going to say that I miss the days of CRPGs requiring thought but Larian is doing a good fucking job
They're apparently doing BG3 now
Better them than Bioware.
I still need to play the Divinity original sin games.
ooo a bg3 sounds good
I've also heard that Atom RPG has some rough edges, but is a pretty authentic successor to the real Fallout games.
And I feel no shame in calling them the real Fallout games, considering how Bethesda has shit on that franchise.
Does New Vegas get honorary status?
Yes
Cool. I haven't put up with the interface long enough to play the originals, and New Vegas is definitely my favorite of the Bethesda era
Probably because Bethesda didn't make it
New Vegas kinda makes me sad. It makes me wish that they had gotten the chance to actually make the game that they had in mind originally.
There was originally going to be a ghoul faction that had taken over a railyard that intended to send a nuke along the rails to the city that they thought was the biggest threat.

_"Does New Vegas get honorary status?"_
***NO.***
Narratively New Vegas is a sequel to Fallout 2. Gameplay wise it's crippled by Fallout 3's engine and mechanics
It's also made by a company a chunk of the FO2 devteam fled to iirc
