Give them Jazz

Jazz is weird (not bad)

It’s like sipping a complex bourbon

There’s a lot of intricate and complex notes in the mix

Maybe I’m thinking of more freeform or improvised jazz

Never been into much jazz, I've always gotten the feeling that you get more out of it the more musically educated you are

I mean, I guess that's technically true for all music...

Jazz is kinda like a contradiction

There's a very fine line where improv starts to feel like wankery

Jazz can be loose yet very firm and it’s just over all great to listen to

plus Jazz is a uniquely American invention

I need to start listening to more jazz

My uncle is a huge jazz/blues fan so I got to listen to a lot of BB King and Dr John growing up

My dad thinks that jazz is trash because he doesn't like the nonsense words and such.

Some jazz can be super abstract

Nice, I listen to mostly Count Basie, miles Davis, duke Ellington, etc. on occasion I like listening to Dizzy Gillespie, Tito Puente, or even Benny Goodman when I’m in the mood for swing

I just pull up those 2 hour youtube jazz playlists and let em run

I'm not a huge fan but trad girls seem to love it so I'd do once or twice a year in high school
