@DJ_Anuz did this happen to you?

2019-08-01 18:46:11 UTC

Anybody here interested in open source manufacturing, construction and farming hardware as a solution for automation, in contrast to UBI

2019-08-01 18:48:28 UTC

Farming needs it badly

2019-08-01 18:48:56 UTC

would help with the undocumented immigrant workers issue we have in CA right now

2019-08-01 18:53:30 UTC

Farming has the most developments right now

2019-08-01 18:53:43 UTC

Check out the global village construction kit

2019-08-01 19:00:27 UTC

I"m sure it has, I'm just saying in Central CA, the farming community needs it

2019-08-01 19:01:36 UTC

@scaevola yeah I contradicted myself. @Clive yeah. When I went to turn in my thirty day notice (my lease ends) I was informed not only of the auto renew clause that requires a 60 day notice, but also that my rent would be going up $300. The rent increase wasn't in the lease so I'm checking with an attorney to see if the rent increase not specified is means for making the clause break Utah State law.

2019-08-01 19:02:06 UTC

you have that right, go for it

2019-08-01 19:02:17 UTC

renting sucks ass

2019-08-01 19:03:10 UTC

It's kind of dumb, Utah has a law that requires that service vendors that provide 12 month or longer contracts/lease's are required to send a notice before the auto renewal takes place (something that didn't happen in my case due to bad management) unfortunately this law specifically excludes rentals properties.

2019-08-01 19:06:04 UTC

As if it were written by the landlords themselves

@DJ_Anuz the number of days required for notices for rent raises should be the same as the notice you have to give before you leave. Otherwise I can just raise the rent to 1000000 dollars when someone leaves in 2 months and they cant get out of that.

2019-08-01 19:46:58 UTC

@scaevola That's why I'm pretty sure them failing to notify me due to bad management breaks existing law which makes the auto renewal clause void.

2019-08-01 19:48:16 UTC

When I went into the office today they totally forgot who I was, so I documented everything and they said I was good to go paying my rent until the 24th. If they decide to pursue getting anything else from me I'll explain the situation and let them know my brother in law is a lawyer. Hopefully they'll just say it's not worth the risk.

2019-08-01 19:54:16 UTC

Them failing to notify is not your problem mate

2019-08-01 20:15:31 UTC

which is why he's looking into getting an attorney

2019-08-01 20:15:37 UTC

he/she?

can't be too careful!

It is a privilege to not have to worry about which pronoun someone is going to use for you based on how they perceive your gender. If you have this privilege, yet fail to respect someone else’s gender identity, it is not only disrespectful and hurtful, but also oppressive.

2019-08-01 21:19:36 UTC

@scaevola it is when management claims I'm good to go. Got it recorded that they said I have everything taken care of for moving out.

Either way, their failure to notify of rent increase is arguably legal cause for the auto renewal to be void. Making state law kick in which requires only a 15 day notice. I gave 30.

There's a section I apparently did not include in Daetslov's Master Copy: Under Section 17, Limitations Of Liability:
*No private person or concern may in any way interfere with the lawful business of another private party except as provided for under this act under the direct order of a competent jurist in the course of a criminal proceeding; Any company that violates this clause may be fined not less than $1Ø,ØØØ,ØØØ per transactional violation, any private person who does so or authorizes another body to do so shall be found guilty of a felony punishable by 2Ø years in prison plus an additional 6 months per transactional violation completed.*

So you're saying I should raise the fine 5Ø%... Very bold...

2019-08-02 12:22:17 UTC

Who's for year round school and who's not? And who's got abolishing the board of education in general?

2019-08-02 13:15:25 UTC

Yeah the federal government has no place in regulating education.

As far as year round school is concerned, I'd be down. Summer break is too long and students forget too much during that time. Reduce the kids work loads, but maintain a year round schedule.

Also reduce the number of general Ed classes and have students begin specializing their study into different fields early on. K12 education has way too much of a general master of none approach. Even college has this to an extent. Basic English, mathematics, and a course on scientific theory is all you really need for general ed. Anything else you're likely to forget unless it's something you work with every day.

2019-08-02 14:47:15 UTC

@Clive school needs to be spaced more like Germany.

2019-08-02 14:47:32 UTC

Fuck a long summer. I'm tryna go places in winter dammit.

2019-08-02 14:53:01 UTC

As the resident Boomer in the mix here y'all, I never gave abolishing the Board of Education much thought, but now that I think about it I kind of like the idea.

2019-08-02 15:01:35 UTC

@Clive oi. I’m boomer #1

2019-08-02 15:01:37 UTC
