They do it because boomers are lazy with technology
They want everything preloaded and done
Right, and I want none of that shit
LAMF
Which will restrict the models I can buy, and I don't think any of those are electric tbh
eh tbh its not like u can protect ur data anymore
its already all out there
Do you lock your door?
sometimes
i live in a good area tho
isn't that a Canadian cliche to not lock doors?
Why? Someone could just break your window :^)
π€‘ π
No, it was like some suburb in Ontario
Not the whole county

jokes on you! my windows are made out of transparent aluminum!
You secure your data for the same reason that you secure your physical goods - you decrease access to it
You can never eliminate access - this has never been an option
sure it is, live off grid
People break into airgapped systems
EMP over San Jose
done
it is kinda analogous to the example u used. a locked door will keep out the kids tryna steal small shit. but a career criminal will take it if he wants it from u
but the thing is the biggest cartel on the block is the federal government. which has extensive data on anyone regardless of what you do to try and protect it.
Yes, but the idea that you wouldnt bother even having a lock or a door because SWAT can kick it down is dumb, no?
I am literally hilter
i understand what you're saying. but swat needs a warrant to break down ur shit. the patriot act made it legal to circumvent the 4th amendment for the sake of the greater good.
Beeman isn't an American citizen, Trudeau has his back

Are we still letting canadians in this discord ?
Matt hasn't explicitly banned them, so yeah I guess so
Matt is an honorary Canadian all the way up there
Betas gonna beta. I'll shoot blonde an email to fix this shit
Snow monkeys
The feasibility of SWAT kicking down your door is moot, though in the age of swatting it's slightly more of a risk than you might think. The point is that a specialist or "big stick" option existing doesn't negate the utility of opsec
You're trying to shut out the highest # of bad actors. That you can't hit 100% is beside the point

*"And I also donβt want to spend 100 dollars every time I fill up a fuel cell tank."*
This is exactly the issue developing the industry (*tax breaks and all*) is meant to address.
FTR, hyrdogen *is* expensive *at this time,* though I have no idea how expensive today. My paper was from damned near a decade ago. π
Batteries are far too short-range; I've had a battery powered vehicle before. Had to recharge at both ends just to get to work (and it was just the motor, not even lights).

*"You can never eliminate access - this has never been an option"*
The mightiest castles can fall to the determined seige...
For example, a criminal acts only in his own self-interest with a presumption against state consequences, but alone. A police officer (or fire fighter) acts with a presumption of state consequences, but also acts with the authority of the state; And whilst bullets give >>Γ fucks about a badge, at least they act knowing the state will support them, ergo *"I'm coming in and you **WON'T** stop me."*
@Legalize
*"We're you vaccinated?"*
I dislike where this is going already.
@Legalize
If I say yes, you accuse me of autism.
If I say no, it's mental retardation.
I've seen this tactic before, you're not nearly as clever as you think you are.
Also, I have *a job,* sometimes, and this will shock you, I have to fo MY JOB and can't drop everything for your sake.
