Im glad **I** left that place
I'll just throw this out there: my mom is a public teacher and there are definitely *some* parents who do not give a shit about their child's education and the state employees care more in those cases. But otherwise, I would not rely on them to do so.
Oh definitely
sure
but on the whole parents are gonna care more
She also teaches the kids who are falling behind so I probably hear more stories than average
yeah
I know someone who is a publc school teacher in a large metropolitan city and the stories of parents who don't give a shit are heartbreaking
granted 95% of those are single parents
and that gets back to the importance of those 'traditional gender roles' Tim Pool feels guilty for liking
But a child's own parents, even if they attend public school, have the biggest impact on their learning.
God forbid you want your kids to have a stable parent at home to strengthen your family ties and dynamics
exactly
Its not like that has a huge impact on a childs early developement
I love how single moms get triggered on reddit on r/relationshipadvice
You can always tell which ones are too. Every time.
i dOnT nEeD nO mAn
maybe you don't but your kid sure as hell does
So empowered. So stunning and brave.
yeah well unfortunately that's sorta the norm now
I grew up with a single mom. Wasnt exactly a walk in the park
not single parenthood (yet) but this idea that the traditional family structure is outdated
oof
I feel like single moms are getting way more praise than a lot of them deserve
They're always so "brave"
one of the greatest blessings I've had in my life is being born into a stable family
mother and father, both of whom deeply cared for me and each other
You're not brave for getting knocked up by a gangbanger who is going to prison and already has 3 baby mamas. That makes you a fucking idiot
fr tho
Yeah, it's getting more frequent that I'm reminded how fortunate I am to have a mom and dad who are still married and love me and my brother.
amen
Yeah Im really bothered by this whole promotion that you dont need to be married or in a stable relationship *before* you decide to have kids
the thing is tho, culturally the position we're all espousing is very much in the minority. My sister, with basically the same upbringing, is of the 'oh you think I can't just do my career and all this stuff?'
Obviously marriage isnt a guarantee (my parents were married when they had me) but its proven to significantly increase the likelyhood of kids succeeding later in life
true
Fucking feminism ruining everything
Smdh
They legit ruined homemaking for everyone
which is insane too
raising children properly is more important to the health of both the family and the republic than 90% of jobs right now
