I mean he can still be a liberal (identifying with liberal ideas) and not identify with the screeching liberal group. Sorta like Dave Rubin I guess.
lmao
I havent followed Dave Rubin in a long time so I could be wrong
Rubin is just a gay conservative now
"BUT IM A CLASSICAL LIBERAL"
I guess it depends on how you define conservative but he's been off the lefty train since lat '15 early '16
He took a sharp turn after he left TYT iirc
no lie
I remember him saying at some point (I think it was an interview with Candace Owens?) that he still supports public schools and that the government should still provide those type of services
so
it's rare that you find a conservative willing to abolish public schools
I'm surprised Tim still has faith in public schools given their role in generating the SJW menace.
or public anything
republicans are just democrats 20 years ago
I dont understand how anyone can support public schools considering how much they fail their students academically
they don't fail
I mean, by objective learning standards they fail
but that's not their real purpose
their purpose is to educate/indoctrinate/assimilate the children of this country
a job they do pretty well for the most part
I mean common core, no student left behind, the focus on standardized testing instead of actually teaching them useful things
Maybe Tim is on the verge of desiring a SAHM able to homeschool.
lmao
once you cross that rubicon there's no going back
no one would ever accept him as a liberal after that
Now, I must admit that I havent attended public school (except for college which Im currently in) in the US so I dont have personal experience with the system, and am only going off from what my husband and other americans have told me
You know Tim would walk through fire for a wife to homeschool his kids using the Japanese or Singaporean curriculum.
It depends on the person but in general public schools excel in creating conformity and little else
I can totally see that @devpav
they're not bad by world standards but they're not great
and I oppose them mainly because the mind numbing lack of critical thinking
From the limited research Ive done (and by talking to friends who homeschool), academically private schools and homeschools excel
yep
homeschooling has different dangers
but on the overall I think it's better assuming there's a parent home to do it
I don't trust Catholic schools as much as I did before Francis came along.
Oh yeah it definitely requires full effort on the behalf of the parent to make sure that their kids also gets to develop socially and learn how to work with other kids.
But its also great because as a parent, you learn quickly what works and doesnt work for your child when it comes to learning
^
And you can put effort into really developing and advancing those skills with your child
also the parent is going to care more about the child's developement than a state employee
Yup
