hey guys I have a dumbass question, I've been browsing the kz store on aliexpress and I noticed a new pair of iems (KZ BA10) which on paper seem to have about the same on-paper specs(slight lower frequency response range and slightly high impedance) as my kz zs6's iems but are like 40$ more expensive. Is there something I'm missing here, why are they more expensive?
Ur missing brain if you're still buying kz
I fucking love my kz zs6's fam
they literally sound just as good as my old audio technica headphones which were like ten times more expensive
im sorry for your loss
kz just shoves more drivers in and hopes people will buy them because of driver count and fancy colors and shapes
they have very few decent iems, and many flawed ones
that doesn't answer the question of why there are iem's/headphones with seemingly shittier or equal specs on paper that are way more expensive.
branding, improvements in technology, better drivers get easier to make, etc
there is plenty of chi-fi that gets beat by sleeper iems
like the quadbeats
also just marketing
so marketing is the only reason why iem's/headphones with seemingly shittier or equal specs on paper are more expensive?
there's absolutely no other hidden factors that can determine audio quality other than the shit on the spec sheet?
Besides the stuff they didn't put in ir
Ask they list is impedance, sensitivity, and frequency range. None of which tell you anything about the sound
Cringe and bluepilled.
@bigabur there's a lot of stuff that determines audio quality that isn't just on paper
It's the same thing with a lot of other industries, eg cameras.
While cameras can use the same sensors, they can perform vastly differently due to the tuning, algorithms, etc.
The same thing applies to audio. KZ can pack more drivers but if they're low quality and aren't tuned correctly they won't perform that well compared to an IEM with less drivers, but they're better tuned and better quality.
An IEM like the Tin T2 will absolutely stomp the ZS5/ZS6 and be a good bit better than the BA10 or ZS10
Despite having less drivers and a smaller package
You can get a measurement of the IEMs frequency response but even that won't actually tell you everything you need to know - but it's a lot more helpful than something like impedance, sensitivity and frequency range.
is this pasta?
my friend just buy kz zs10
