oh okay so you mean don't have your vpn hosted in the US have it hosted in one of those other places
i have heard that isn't as effective as you would think though. i read somewhere multiple connections aren't any more effective than just using one.
although i believe everything i read on the internet.
I ssh into my main box that is in Switzerland
Which has a dedicated Ip and I use ssh keys to log in
Then I use that to log into any number of additional ones
Then my Icelandic one which has arguably the best data protection laws anywhere
hows ssh'ing into a server and requesting from there any different than proxying a request through a VPN in Switerland.
Well
Firstly it keeps my Icelandic box super safe
Am I next?
Set rules on the sshd daemon to only allow connections from my home static Ip and my Swiss Ip
@Picassoツ I would hazard a guess that no you are not, I could be wrong.
Then the Icelandic one i installed a hyoervisor and use it as a virtual machine; which has the benefit of acting as a remote PC that I then plug in my thumb drive with TAILS on it and use it that way
If that makes sense
But yeah I take a lot of measures. I only use cold storage for my btc wallets. Single use wallets
well i agree that it's much more secure to do things that way, but does it improve anonymity?
paper wallets?
Yup
you write that shit down, right? can't trust the printers!
Well I tend not to but BtC anymore really
Yup
No printers
Mad tinfoil hattery up in here but it's legit af
yeah i don't have enough in ethereum for it to be worthwhile but in the future i'm gonna have to figure out better ways to store my ether.
it may be tinfoil, but at least it's safe.
plus that's alot of money i'm assuming you have if you got in that early
I've just come to terms that I'm being tracked. It sounds hard to be anonymous
Either that or I type up a plaintext file with the info and then encrypt the file and put it into an encrypted volume on an SD card
Yeah I was lucky to get in early
Was tempted to sell when btc got to 300, now it's over 11-1200
Estimated to go up to 10k eventually wouldn't be surprised if it does
i'd probably go that way. i'd be afraid i'd write the wrong address down. one character wrong.
damn. that high?!
yeah. better hold onto that.
god dammit
i have been hearing they are going to fork the bitcoin blockchain. i wonder how that will affect the price.
Probably negligible
