Further, thought experiment: you're living in a nice huwaito country, among people who believe the same shit as you and hold the same values. Your birth rate is hilariously low due to a mix of the usual sort of social and economic factors, however group Y are banding together and supporting each other, and making use of aspects of your system to produce living situations that are more viable for their group to survive, and in some cases are considered repugnant (but not illegal) to your group. They are also white. You know they want to replace your cultural values with their own. Do you A: Accept the destruction of your culture in the presence of an adaptively superior, if morally devoid, other? Or do you B: import nonwhites who ultimately share your core cultural values, even if they might have different practices on top of that

Well the thought experiment needn't be an ethnostate. It's a basic premise about valuation between racial and cultural majority. Also Japan clearly is not functioning just fine, and Poland is potentially in the same boat. Iceland just isn't scalable, and is primarily one ethnicity, not simply one race. All three countries have low birth rates, with only Iceland's severe drop in death rates keeping their numbers up

As a European American, I feel we just don't have anything that really brings us together in some aspects that others might have. We don't really celebrate our own culture and are far more disconnected and even content with that than others. Nothing wrong with that either way, just a thought.

So I rang out a customer today at work and his daughter came up to the counter with her own stuff that she was going to pay for and the girl couldn't speak a word of English yet her father was fluent with no accent what so ever. I had to have him tell her to wait in Spanish so I could finish out his ticket

I got that with the chinese food place I used to go to. The delivery driver spoke perfect english, with a little accent. So did all but one of the backups. There was one that didn't speak any english

But the woman who answered the phone....you were amazed when your order was right consistently, because you couldn't understand her on the phone

Well it just pisses me off because her father no perfect English and he is not teaching her any. Which will make her a burden on the school system later because she will need an English learning aid with her through most of her schooling

Lol I've called pretty much all of the about 20 Chinese places near me, the best of them speak English with an accent so thick trying to communicate you want special fried rice without knowing the number is a chore, and good luck trying to order it without peas/chicken/whatever. But at least they are trying to speak English.
The worst of them know exactly 2 words of English, number and address, it is all but impossible to order food over the phone.
Now I don't want to bash technology, but it's apps like Just Eat that have allowed the latter to happen, if they didn't sell almost exclusively through phone apps they would have to learn English to communicate with the customer.
