I was watching Matt during the tail end of the skagg3 days and only bothered with the discord after I caved and decided to be a patron. And then my Wednesdays became busy

I decided to start calling in because I can't talk to anyone but my younger brother about politics

I redpilled my sister

My whole family is Republican and I'm a through and through centrist so I can't talk to my dad about any thing because he goes from 0 to invade Mexico in a hurry

My sister started voting right side of the ticket when she started dating her current boyfriend, but she's far from redpilled

My sister clings to a few leftie policies but is overall done with leftist commies and tumblrites

And is now trying to slow convert her friends

Every so often I remind her of the unbearable commie she could have become

Gotta warn them away early

She was full on. Started a GSA at her school, had a tumblr account, supported Trudeau. Whole 9 yards

I consider redpill to be the ability to think independently of an authoritive state. In today's environment that almost requires you to be at least right leaning, but I can't see any universe where my sister came to it on her own decision

My sister is at that Sargon stage where she's not willing to admit the flaws of the welfare state and still is kinda iffy on guns

That one last desperate hand clutching just left of center

But comes to her own conclusions and is jaded about the legal system

As far as it goes man that's better than most of the chicks I meet especially at my little brothers school

That's better than most of the people I've met her age lol

That's true I got in trouble at work for calling out a customer on some BS about comey

Yeah you gotta learn to pick those battles lol

Like I explained the gun debate to my grandfather but didn't bother trying to correct my aunt

Despite both of them using the same media-fed arguments

That's kinda tricky isn't it

And it's not like my grandfather flipped on it either, but at least he's making better arguments

I dont require agreement, just facts

One of my older brothers is that way with social programs

I think there's a basis for some of them, tbh, it's just a question of whether you figure people can come about creating them organically

Mental health and childcare being two major ones

And two that the government frequently fucks up as well

My biggest issue is Food Stamps

My biggest issue is government monopolies beyond the absolute necessities

I get that I just think they need to be limited and regulated a bit more

Our provincial Auto Insurance company was found scamming people. Our transit company has gone bankrupt and is now trying to sell shitty merchandise. Our hospitals are stuffed full of people and the funding for medicare is going to run out if they don't fix shit (and they likely won't)

No ignore the problem and maybe it'll go away that's there strategy

The funny thing is the problem *is* about something going away

Boomer pop is going to ream our social programs as they leave the workforce

Which is probably why they've been pushing immigration
