we've had merit based immigration for a while now too. It's hilarious that Americans call it racist
*we also deport people if they're being shit*
Fantastic interview by the Rebel with Tommy Robinson on his recent incarceration. Worth a watch y'all. https://www.therebel.media/tommyrobinson
@Beemann if I remember correctly, you're not allowed to visit the great white north if you've ever had a DUI
Anyone playing Spider-man for PS4? JJ Jameson reminds me of Keith Olbermann. Instead of assembling every little piece of news about Trump to make some conspiracy theory make sense, it's Spiderman instead. He is out to get Spidey by whatever twisted theory possible lol he even sounds like Keith when he's yelling
I've heard people comparing him to Alex Jones, but I wouldn't be surprised if Olberdouche is the better comparison.
Yea that comparison is lacking a little nuance
Okay apparently he says Spiderman eats pigeons? Maybe they WERE going with Alex Jones, then. I haven't heard that broadcast yet, only complaining about Nazis and trying to make Spidey out to be bad
Wacky question. Im trying to prove that systemic racism is no longer a problem in the US to someone. Does anybody already have a compiled list of sources to back this up?
I’m working on my own list, but there are so many myths to address.
Ask them if they have ever met a boss, or had a team leader in their business that is a person of color.
Wish me luck Conservative Mexican is going to LA to a La Raza event
@WhiteGuilty that doesn’t work. The guy thinks that the justice system is racist as well as every other institution. It’s hard to compile the data disproving this stuff. I’ve gotten the information on the justice system, for the most part. However, I’m not sure where to get the information to disprove that lending and housing isn’t racist though.
@ConservstiveMexican good luck
@Salacious Swanky Cat well thats just it he's looking for the boogey man. If lending and housing are racist as well as justice system then every non white would be in jail with out money, no credit cards, and none of them would own a house
I'm white, I've been to jail, I have one final chance credit card and I can't buy a house to save my life
@WhiteGuilty I understand that. It just becomes a game of whataboutism. The more information I have, the more equipped I am to defeat his points.
I get it, I am just not any good with that stuff. I leave it for people like you and MC
whats his evidence of racism?
it's not up to you to prove a negative
Yeah what he said
Like usual, his acquaintance is probably going to point to outcomes and the past when it actually happened (and claim it just happens in secret now). I'd be interested to know if the person actually sites something different.
well I mean that's the claim though, not necessarily the evidence
like I think the argument ultimately boils down to a lazy racism claim
wherein they point out police run-ins and higher rates of incarceration, you mention higher crimerates
BOOM
Racist
Like I said before they can't think of anything so stupid just doesn't have the same effect as racist
the trick is to use some SJ Judo and make the claim sound racist against Black Americans and other PoC(tm) if you wanna rattle em
Alternatively, if theyre using historical examples, mention that there were some European groups that committed more crime at certain points in history
or that Chinese Americans have absolutely wrecked shit
they've done so fucking well
What they're trying to do is minimize the person not the point the person is trying to make, it's more of a I like that person so what they are saying must be right. Vs I don't like that person, but they do have a point.
Man I just had some tacos and a quesadilla from this food truck and it was awesome
It's like the news articles that MC just did a video on. If they can vilify semi automatics, and change the terminology, in a few short years semi automatics will be come "automatics", it's more of a character attack that a point of view attack.
I think it's just the fact that race and identity are uncomfortable subjects (mostly because they're not hugely worthwhile and run the risk of generalization and exposing one's ignorance) so rather than allow that to occur, people just want to shut the shit down
and because one identitiarian narrative is prominent now, it's held up as "normal"
He goes on about judicial system stuff now. If his assertions get questioned, he just says something along the lines of ‘you don’t understand because you haven’t experienced it’. Its absurd. I want to get as much information as I can to decimate whatever arguments he may use. I’m determined to red pill him. Lol
@Beemann Im thinking of using that tactic. He would have to deny black victims of crime to justify his assertions.
He hasnt experienced what you've experienced, so he cant comment on the expertise your experience gives you
checkmate atheists
Lol. It’s frustrating.
By the way, the PSA Sitch video (in <#266400976267640833>) actually covered that the strategy of labeling data over perception (at about 39min mark). That video is great.
The whole ‘you don’t understand because you haven’t experienced it’ argument is really just another version of "Feeling over facts" or "speak my truth". I think people in this chat have seen the many body cam videos of black people lying about their "experiences" to know better
