shit battery life and they can fall out and get lost easily

2019-01-02 14:58:41 UTC

not to mention the battery is going to shit the bed really fast

2019-01-02 14:58:43 UTC

I never had wireless, and if its reasonably cheap I want to try.

2019-01-02 14:58:49 UTC

But I guess you are right

2019-01-02 14:58:52 UTC

considering how many fucking cycles it's going through due to it's tiny capacity

2019-01-02 15:11:30 UTC

So the cheap-shit $2 mmcx replacement cable for my T2's now needs to be replaced after like *3 months*. I'd rather not get chinked again, what's the next step up that won't fray so fast?

2019-01-02 15:12:35 UTC

keep it in a case

2019-01-02 15:12:49 UTC

cover the wire in heatshrink wrapping

2019-01-02 15:16:11 UTC

Both excellent points. Done that before on lots of non-replaceable cables. But assuming I don't want to buy the same shitty cable again, what should I buy?

2019-01-02 15:16:48 UTC

one sec let me link you the one I got

2019-01-02 15:18:18 UTC

... Yup. That's it.

2019-01-02 15:18:25 UTC

The exact one that broke on me.

2019-01-02 15:19:19 UTC

cheap af

2019-01-02 15:19:24 UTC

no wonder

2019-01-02 15:19:40 UTC

I guess these will only work for tinmeme while I use the shit connectors of KZ

2019-01-02 15:19:43 UTC

mine works fine

2019-01-02 15:19:55 UTC

which are just two pins

2019-01-02 15:20:02 UTC

stop abusing your cables

2019-01-02 15:20:05 UTC

or just get thicker cables

2019-01-02 15:20:25 UTC

what style do you wear them

2019-01-02 15:20:39 UTC

try using over the ear so the connectors are not stressed with weight

2019-01-02 15:20:49 UTC

and if the wires do get pulled your ears will take the force instead of the wire

2019-01-02 15:20:54 UTC

well I am not a brainlet

2019-01-02 15:21:24 UTC

also pro tip reverse the iems use blue for right and red for left instead of the usual red for right

2019-01-02 15:21:37 UTC

I found it's much more comfortable to insert them in ear that way

2019-01-02 15:21:38 UTC

SO I let people borrow my aux cable and when I get it back they have basically rolled it around a piece of paper so it looks nice

2019-01-02 15:21:40 UTC

very smart right

2019-01-02 15:21:50 UTC

roll all the cables

2019-01-02 15:22:43 UTC

I probably will just get a thicker cable. Cause I do wear them overear, the fray is on the part of the cable directly above the split (the big piece of plastic idk what to call it).

2019-01-02 15:23:23 UTC

divider

2019-01-02 15:24:15 UTC

Thanks. Yeah, right above that on the left side. Never had that problem on other headphones, though that's probably cause they usually broke near the jack itself

2019-01-02 15:25:33 UTC

I just don't want to spend more money on a "better" cable, and get chinked x2

2019-01-02 22:39:36 UTC

when are the airdots meetups coming up

2019-01-02 23:50:09 UTC

/csg/ meetup

2019-01-02 23:50:17 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2019-01-02 23:58:41 UTC

csg meetup in nova fucking scotia

2019-01-03 00:49:26 UTC

@DeeDeeTee if you want thick get Shure knockoff cables, they're like $7-8USD, thick as shit, and probably won't fray

2019-01-03 00:57:00 UTC

Ahh, those do look tough. Already ordered a cable from Ali for a similar price. Hopefully it's not junk. Thanks the advice though, that'll teach me to be impatient
