the main criticism of the rate hike btw is that we have no observable inflation and the economy is going well, so the timing is odd. That being said it was also expected, but closer to year end

Lol. I just listened to it. Once you get past Kanye’s manor of speech he outlines points that aren’t necessarily stupid:

1. Penal system disproportionately disadvantages blacks - need to focus on rehabilitation.

2. 13th amendment may exacerbate the situation (since it literally allows for the use of forced servitude in prison).

3. Government needs to take a bigger role in mental health. Prison populations spiked after mental health facilities closed a few decades ago. (He claims his mental health issue was misdiagnosed)

4. Better police relations. Stop and frisk is bad for police relations

5. Extreme focus on racism holds blacks back.

6. Bring industry back to Chicago.

7. Improve local education.

8. Chicago problem is from illegal guns, second amendment is good.

I don’t agree with him that the penal system is unjustly unfair to blacks, but none of his points were the ramblings of an insane man. The far left has me defending Kanye. I don’t even listen to his music.
