@shooterdownunder I want to go some place interesting in Australia. I want to see Ayers Rock.
@Salacious Swanky Cat I suggest you do it before next year because the NT government plans to close it off to tourists next year
@shooterdownunder seriously??? Why? That would be like the US closing yellow stone off to tourists.
Is it because of some native bs?
@Salacious Swanky Cat its a sacred site for aboriginals and they want to 'respect the heritage"
basically yes
I mean, what is there to do on Ayers Rock anyway. Take a helicopter up to the top ?
Ugh. Their animalistic religion is bogus.
I don't think they let you climb it (AFAIK)
They should all convert to Christianity and then realize that there’s no such thing as holy land.
@Salacious Swanky Cat most of them are, they just don't have any representation in government
@shooterdownunder so, the useless harpies have representation, but the productive rational ones don’t? Not surprised
and they prefer to talk about putting their flags on buildings, a new government for them, changing our national day rather than dealing with the rampant drug, alcohol abuse, child abuse, domestic violence and violent crime
much like the blacks in america
Lol. So true.
and don't forget the welfare, gotta keep them on welfare
Lol
Sounds more like indians
@wolfman1911 without the baddassery
What is badass about crippling alcoholism?
The crippling part?
@wolfman1911 I was talking about their history. You'd be lucky to stay awake when learning their history. although the alcoholism is very bad
The australian Aborigines? I thought they were supposed to be badasses or something.
nah they're just the defenceless victims that had their lives destroyed by 'european invaders'
how I hated history classes
Haven't Australians historically gotten along with them a lot better than Americans and indians?
I used to have a penpal that was from New Zealand, but was living in Australia, so I might be confusing which country it was that had the good relations.
it was slightly different than america. The aboriginals here were more primative than most other indigenous tribes.
Did yours invent the wheel? Because ours didn't invent the wheel. I bet you our primitives were more primitive than yours
new zealand was able to get atreaty so your penpal must have been referring to that country
@shooterdownunder let me get out of here first then you can nuke it
I kinda wonder if he's saying they hadn't invented the bow.
And no, @SteelandSouls, the concept of the wheel didn’t exist here until YPIPO came in
Everyone gets mad about the disease blankets we brought. Nobody ever thanks us for the cool stuff
@wolfman1911 and NZ has historically better relations with their earlier immigrants than most other places
@wolfman1911 actuually they hadspears and boomerangs, not much else
“Indigenous” is wrong since the Māoris moved to NZ from other Pacific Islands in the mid 14th century
NZ was so cut off from the rest of the world it wasn’t until the fucking Enlightenment that people actually managed to get their asses across the Tasman strait
Well, no one is really indigenous anywhere, unless you are talking about Africa around the middle east.
Fair enough, but at least in terms of... I guess a variety of the principle of homesteading
