Do your workplaces generally feel open to discussing politics?
I just assume people are lefties
Management is never in so it's never an issue but it also rarely comes up outside of a couple of guys I know
HEMA has been the only exception. There's an ex Peace Corp dude who is the least PC person I've met in some time
And he basically sets the tone some classes
I think we mostly don't because politics is dividing and people find other things more interesting.
Everyone loves their opinion and mouth. Nobody loves their ears
Well yeah, you generally don't wanna debate coworkers. Makes for a worse environment
Which is why I try to just throw out alternatives
Being a contrarian is fun
I got to tell a guy that Kanye was right about slavery being a choice. He just couldn't wrap his mind around the idea
Waiting for Matt do jump in with the "I disavow"
I think its sad that I can tell which coworkers get theirs news from John Oliver and Stephen Colbert based on how they talk about issues.
Shut up and read the script, ya mook
We just had an employee leave to join what sounded like a pyramid scheme. My coworkers were saying that pyramid schemes are kinda of like cults. That person was the only actual SJW working at the company. I didn't say anything because I don't think they would have understood, but if you're an SJW you have already shown you are susceptible to cult practices.
Pretty much. They tend not to vet things which is why the are more susceptible to behaviors like that.
Iβm kind of isolated from the SJW nonsense because I live in the south. There are some, but itβs uncommon.
I'm near Disney. It's expected.
Iβm sorry. π¦
I'm in the middle of SJW nonsense
Imagine my shock.
Nothing like a propaganda leaflet to indoctrinate you on a transit
decided to check one out one time, it was exactly what you'd expect
I've come across two random events in RDR2 involving the KKK
and they were exactly the kind of caricature you'd expect. Was kind of a lame novelty, and almost as if Rockstar wanted them to be among the first of the random world encounters you have
Anyone else here watch The Man in the High Castle?
Was curious if anyone else got an "Antifa Protest" vibe during the final episode of season 3. Also I am SHOCKED the crazy left has not gone after this show.
Not me, tho i've not been watching much in the way of streaming shows for a while (even tho i need to start soon).
I had planned on reading it. The only stuff I've touched in Prime would be The Tick and The Grand Tour
I'll need to check to see if it's on audible
I may listen to the book at work, want to compare source material with the show
hoping for a season 4 π
also, good choices π
I am not a "car guy", I just enjoy the hosts ripping on eachother
@Beemann SPOON! (not sure if he says this in the live action tv show, didn't see that yet).
I think it was referenced....
watched it some time ago
The Tick is trying to be a longer narrative thing. It only sort of works. I need to see where it goes though before dropping it
hmm
I do need to see it, but i'm not sure it can beat the cartoon heh
