Just the way California is in general. They still send me stuff to go and vote there. There always news stories about stacks of absentee ballots showing up at a single residence. they don't check Id so it would be really easy to vote in someone else place as long as you know their polling station.

I remember you just handed a paper ballot back to a volunteer and they are suppose to go put it in the machine. It would have been easy for them to look at it and throw it away if they didn't like your vote.

2018-11-06 15:05:48 UTC

California encouraging illegal voting. You can sue!

2018-11-06 15:06:22 UTC

Oh. That does sound sketchy. In Alabama, you show your Id and put the ballot in the machine.

2018-11-06 15:07:05 UTC

They might have updated the machines in california, but that's the way it was the last time I voted there.

2018-11-06 15:07:48 UTC

Same in Florida

2018-11-06 15:09:07 UTC

"isolated incident", sure

2018-11-06 15:09:56 UTC

the mistake was they got caught

2018-11-06 15:11:53 UTC

That would be a pretty epic reveal if that kind of stuff is actually influencing elections.

2018-11-06 15:17:34 UTC

Yeah the guy who gave me mine practically bent the thing.

2018-11-06 15:24:14 UTC

Great now he's gotta fill out some paper

2018-11-06 15:24:27 UTC

I told him "you're in trouble now!"

2018-11-06 15:24:51 UTC

He broke democracy!

2018-11-06 15:29:09 UTC

@grant I think all the ways that would make it possible for you to verify if and how your vote got cast create a potential risk of your private information being stolen or publicised.

2018-11-06 15:31:09 UTC

@Euro looking for a green card sadly the lack of those it also makes it very difficult to find out if any voter fraud happened.

2018-11-06 15:31:23 UTC

kind of a tough situation

2018-11-06 15:35:16 UTC

well I voted for a bunch of people who will lose......NY after all

2018-11-06 15:35:37 UTC

@I Know a Fat Guy Larry Sharpe?

2018-11-06 15:35:37 UTC

At least you used it before you lose it

2018-11-06 15:36:17 UTC

correct @grant

2018-11-06 15:36:52 UTC

@grant Yeah, I think it falls firmly in the "careful what you wish for" category.
Imagine your voting information out in the open for employers to see.

2018-11-06 15:37:39 UTC

@Euro looking for a green card I work for libertarians. But I take your point.

2018-11-06 15:38:21 UTC

Did you guys see the Michigan reporter who didn't hang up properly and left a voice message saying she hopes the republican loses. I put the link in <#266401012967931905>

2018-11-06 15:40:29 UTC

Lots of old women. They're everywhere

2018-11-06 15:45:53 UTC

Texas requires an ID to vote as well, as far as I know.

2018-11-06 15:46:31 UTC

I think of all the minorities we are oppressing, who are too poor and dumb to get an ID, and I smile.

2018-11-06 16:08:43 UTC

@wolfman1911 yeah. That’s the most absurd assertion from the left. If having an Id to vote is racist, then how is getting a driver’s license not? Or providing and id for a job? Ridiculous.

2018-11-06 16:11:24 UTC

You need Id to collect welfare. Lol

2018-11-06 16:12:30 UTC

Yeah.

2018-11-06 17:40:49 UTC

Really anxious to see the turnout among demographics

2018-11-06 17:40:58 UTC

not just party

2018-11-06 17:41:42 UTC

I'm almost tempted to go back later on when everyone's getting off work to see who's all there

2018-11-06 17:43:16 UTC

It was a mixed bag when I went to vote. Mostly elderly though but a few youths that looks pretty Left-leaning

2018-11-06 17:45:44 UTC

I saw a woman who looked like a feminist. Short crop hair, fat, ugly, looked bitter at the world.
