Just the way California is in general. They still send me stuff to go and vote there. There always news stories about stacks of absentee ballots showing up at a single residence. they don't check Id so it would be really easy to vote in someone else place as long as you know their polling station.
I remember you just handed a paper ballot back to a volunteer and they are suppose to go put it in the machine. It would have been easy for them to look at it and throw it away if they didn't like your vote.
California encouraging illegal voting. You can sue!
Oh. That does sound sketchy. In Alabama, you show your Id and put the ballot in the machine.
They might have updated the machines in california, but that's the way it was the last time I voted there.
Same in Florida
"isolated incident", sure
the mistake was they got caught
That would be a pretty epic reveal if that kind of stuff is actually influencing elections.
Just voted
Pops ballot wouldn't scan lmao had to redo it
Yeah the guy who gave me mine practically bent the thing.
Great now he's gotta fill out some paper
I told him "you're in trouble now!"
He broke democracy!
@grant I think all the ways that would make it possible for you to verify if and how your vote got cast create a potential risk of your private information being stolen or publicised.
@Euro looking for a green card sadly the lack of those it also makes it very difficult to find out if any voter fraud happened.
kind of a tough situation
well I voted for a bunch of people who will lose......NY after all
At least you used it before you lose it
correct @grant
@grant Yeah, I think it falls firmly in the "careful what you wish for" category.
Imagine your voting information out in the open for employers to see.
@Euro looking for a green card I work for libertarians. But I take your point.
Did you guys see the Michigan reporter who didn't hang up properly and left a voice message saying she hopes the republican loses. I put the link in <#266401012967931905>
Lots of old women. They're everywhere
Texas requires an ID to vote as well, as far as I know.
I think of all the minorities we are oppressing, who are too poor and dumb to get an ID, and I smile.
@wolfman1911 yeah. That’s the most absurd assertion from the left. If having an Id to vote is racist, then how is getting a driver’s license not? Or providing and id for a job? Ridiculous.
You need Id to collect welfare. Lol
Yeah.
Just voted
🎆 🎆 🎆
I did too
i'm voting after school today
Really anxious to see the turnout among demographics
not just party
I'm almost tempted to go back later on when everyone's getting off work to see who's all there
It was a mixed bag when I went to vote. Mostly elderly though but a few youths that looks pretty Left-leaning
I saw a woman who looked like a feminist. Short crop hair, fat, ugly, looked bitter at the world.
