I've seen too many go into it thinking they'll do great because high school told them they were amazing and then bomb

I've been seeing that for a long time coming

I've almost had to forcibly pass minority student's assignments they've otherwise failed

but you throw a big enough fuss and my department usually steps down

There's a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes. It's a bit depressing

Right, I was gonna ask how you feel day to day, but naturally you'd probably adapt to not really care too much

it's not that I don't care. It's just that if I think about it constantly my life would be miserable

luckily if I raise a fuss, it's usually alright.
