Which is always a good thing

2018-12-12 11:07:13 UTC

Right like

2018-12-12 11:07:37 UTC

The one criticism I have of Ben is he’s advocated for dying on principle

2018-12-12 11:08:14 UTC

But even then it’s like... I agree with him to a rather great extent, I just don’t think it’s worth losing a lot of battles when we’re on the brink

2018-12-12 11:08:30 UTC

He’s mentioned that he has supreme confidence that western civilisation will survive this and continue

2018-12-12 11:08:55 UTC

As I’ve said many times to others in this server, I’m not so sure the normies will catch on in time to save the ship

2018-12-12 11:10:47 UTC

If you aren't dying on principle then it isn't a principle in the first place.

2018-12-12 11:11:23 UTC

Maybe I don't get where you are coming from but a principle is only that if it stays firm to whatever is thrown at it.

2018-12-12 11:11:36 UTC

That’s what I’m saying by I agree with him on it

2018-12-12 11:12:16 UTC

But my issue is how the left seems to be treating the culture war as an actual war, playing dirty and everything

2018-12-12 11:12:32 UTC

Meanwhile we just sit here and let our freedoms get eroded bit by bit

2018-12-12 11:13:09 UTC

I see what you mean.

2018-12-12 11:13:22 UTC

The example I like to illustrate is something like this...

2018-12-12 11:13:48 UTC

The majority vote to execute you, and of course you don’t want that to happen

2018-12-12 11:13:55 UTC

Seems like a lot of people are waking up, but as you said the question is if it is enough of them.

2018-12-12 11:14:01 UTC

But the principles of democracy dictate that it must

2018-12-12 11:14:04 UTC

I think one thing Limbaugh should have talked about more is how we fight the culture war *as aggressively* with the left. Because he took a stand and suggested that we should match aggression but not their dirty tactics

2018-12-12 11:14:07 UTC

Must happen*

2018-12-12 11:14:21 UTC

Good thing the US isn't a Democracy then.

2018-12-12 11:14:37 UTC

That normally gets contradicted with the principle of the right to life and self defense

2018-12-12 11:15:07 UTC

@RoadtoDawn That's where Andrew Breitbart comes in.

2018-12-12 11:15:08 UTC

But with the right to life constantly being called into question (abortion and euthanasia) and your right to self defense already heavily restricted at this current stage...

2018-12-12 11:15:35 UTC

What a great loss he was

2018-12-12 11:16:16 UTC

He got a snowball rolling though that is still growing in size!

2018-12-12 11:17:37 UTC

Mmhmm

2018-12-12 11:17:39 UTC

But yeah

2018-12-12 11:17:58 UTC

Here’s to hoping the snowball reaches effective density on time

2018-12-12 11:18:11 UTC

I wonder what Andrew would be doing today

2018-12-12 11:18:21 UTC

We wouldn't have the same Ben, that's for sure

2018-12-12 11:18:46 UTC

Breitbart.com would probably look a bit different too

2018-12-12 11:18:53 UTC

Absolutely

2018-12-12 11:18:57 UTC

Definitely

2018-12-12 11:19:12 UTC

I reckon people such as Bill Whittle will be more in the spotlight

2018-12-12 11:19:26 UTC

The sort of... more proper, I guess, kind of conservative

2018-12-12 11:19:32 UTC

Whittle, D’Souza etc

2018-12-12 11:19:53 UTC

I just want effective conservatives

2018-12-12 11:19:58 UTC

And by proper I mean in the way they present themselves

2018-12-12 11:20:07 UTC

Same

2018-12-12 11:20:45 UTC

Unfortunately right now? I reckon we have a mix of provocateurs and philosophers, and both are needed

2018-12-12 11:20:56 UTC

Hard to find someone who’s a good mix of both

2018-12-12 11:22:39 UTC

I personally find philosophers to put people on certain tracks, so to speak. They go round and round on the track and are able to function better than those who live arbitrarily, but we also need people to look for substance and not just what is compelling like a good philosophy
