Bleach sucked at the end.
I'm sorry for your loss
I love sleeping
and fight
ing
Naruto was good until after Sasuke left. Then it became Ninja Ball Z
I don't like sleeping... Its For The Weak!
Naruto is a rags to riches story but the protagonist is already rich
Sort of.
So they just pretend the money isn't there until the plot requires it
By money do you mean power?
Yes, that's the metaphor here
Ok.
Dude's got a superdemon trapped inside him
Talk No Jutsu is the skill to know in Shippuden
That straight up gives him the W whenever the writers want
Long anime's have highs and lows (as it cost a lot of money), but overall those 2 are very good.
I think it’s reasonably consistent. He was an outcast for having it inside him
It's a battle series.
It's a battle to make it through the entire series
I will admit the celebration after he beat Pain left me a bit teary eyed
Though tbh a highschool drama where one character is a bullshit strong animu protag would be entertaining as fuck
>shunned for being a weirdo
>everyone freaked out after he liquefied the bully
>teachers are afraid to fail him
@Beemann Just because someone is powerful doesn't mean they can't have compelling stories... It annoys me when people think like that for Superman.....
It depends on what the story is about
When superman stories are "can superman survive1??!?!" Then they're largely boring
Because we know the answer is, 99 times out of 100, yes
The way to make superman compelling is to play hard against his weaknesses. He's not in danger, his allies are, and they are because of him or something he did
And his ability to mulch people with his fists isn't going to help
If you want an example of this, One Punch Man provides. It's not about him getting stronger at all
It's about the dysfunctional world in which he resides, and how he fucks what little order it has even further, and how other people react to that
There are many different ways to make a story work, if you feel it doesn't work for you. And that's perfectly fine, that doesn't mean it in fact fails at being a good story.
You hear that @Salacious Swanky Cat Art is subjective
@SteelandSouls same
No, straight up writing 101 is that your story needs to have stakes. You need some level of it that isn't base wish fulfillment
@SteelandSouls art is subjective my hairy ape butt.
It is.
What are the stakes when you give a minmaxed combat powerhouse combat challenges?
Fwiw this is what also ruined DBZ, along with resurrection abuse
Can this not become some super high number message debate? I don’t want all the notifications
Rock Lee is an example of a character that has growth and an actual set of challenges. He has nothing but effort and gets fucked for it. He Mumen Rider's through it
