Were you there when the Arla factory was still going? It has been shut down for 6 or more years at this stage and it still stinks lol

2019-02-11 14:37:47 UTC

Yeah, the bubble is bursting any moment now.

2019-02-11 14:38:25 UTC

Should have burst a decade ago. I’ll give it 5 more years

2019-02-11 14:39:38 UTC

the bubble in London right now is caused almost 100% by the Chinese. There used to be a company a few doors down to me who were Chinese estate agents. All they did was market themselves in Chinese and they made a fucking fortune. These people would put a deposit down on multiple apartments (15k deposit each) and then not even take them. They simply wanted to "look around"

2019-02-11 14:39:52 UTC

Washwood Heath in b’ham was another like that. Oddly, the most publicly maligned spots I wandered around in the small hours even and found ok

2019-02-11 14:39:57 UTC

My apartment gained more than 1/3 of it's value in just over 5 years!

2019-02-11 14:40:24 UTC

@Lash-Games Aren't the Russians a big part of that too?

2019-02-11 14:40:52 UTC

This one girl in the office had personally made nearly 20k in commission from this single apartment in Fulham in the previous year. I cant imagine how much money the company itself made off that one apartment alone if she made that much off commission lol

2019-02-11 14:41:10 UTC

Lash, it’s anyone with cash from a country with overvalued currency.
Russia, eastern EU, China all fit

2019-02-11 14:41:17 UTC

The russians are but I havent interacted with them much if at all

2019-02-11 14:41:51 UTC

The arabs are probably just as bad but I know I havent ran into them yet lol

2019-02-11 14:42:01 UTC

@Lash-Games So you are not into coke and designer Parma then clearly;)

2019-02-11 14:42:07 UTC

They tend to run into you, in London!

2019-02-11 14:42:34 UTC

I'd take the coke and their money but they can have the rest rofl

2019-02-11 14:44:21 UTC

Yes, I should have included the UAE and friends. But they keep to themselves, mostly, unless you attend high powered seminars, cocktail parties etc

2019-02-11 14:44:40 UTC

or you go to Selfridges

2019-02-11 14:44:46 UTC

Which I used to a fair amount on business

2019-02-11 14:45:55 UTC

if you ever want a better example of how multicultrualism has damaged Britain. Just go to Selfridges, look at the beautiful building and everything it once stood for....then go inside and see the awful, tacky, low quality shit they sell now and see how many arabs wonder around it

2019-02-11 14:46:24 UTC

I would dispute that, actually

2019-02-11 14:46:45 UTC

That’s simply good capitalism

2019-02-11 14:47:19 UTC

yes from that perspective its fine. But from the change in culture aspect it is awful

2019-02-11 14:47:22 UTC

Package more important than contents to some, and if they have the purchase power, rock on

2019-02-11 14:47:35 UTC

gold shoes for crap sake.

2019-02-11 14:47:38 UTC

^^ But agreed.. is sad

2019-02-11 14:48:08 UTC

not even wearable shoes. Just ugly, disgusting looking gold shoes

2019-02-11 14:48:26 UTC

Can you hit someone with them?

2019-02-11 14:48:35 UTC

I wouldnt want to lose any of the gold, so no rofl

2019-02-11 14:48:44 UTC

Peacock nicely then?

2019-02-11 14:48:59 UTC

I dont even know how they get gold into fabric lol

2019-02-11 14:49:39 UTC

Chinese footbinding was a mating signal after all ... look at me, look at me, I’m so funky I don’t NEED to walk!

2019-02-11 14:49:58 UTC

lol

2019-02-11 14:50:43 UTC

I’m serious. Astonishing how much comes back to sexuality, if not actual reproductive sex

2019-02-11 14:50:59 UTC

Ponder it

2019-02-11 15:00:38 UTC

human sexuality is a very strange thing

2019-02-11 15:25:21 UTC

Apparently so is the sexuality of toasters, high heels, train stations, and gelatinous goo, once we fixate and anthropomorphise them.
And toddlers, hamsters, and camels. Don’t forget those

2019-02-11 23:00:43 UTC

AOC's Green New Deal may have her looking like a genius by the time she's ready to run.....

If his model could be applied to everything and be accurate, wouldn't we have achieved fusion utopia by now? We've figured out significantly more than 1% of the problem, no?

2019-02-12 00:55:25 UTC

Lol how would we know what percentage of the problem is solved? His model only applies on information Technologies I believe. It's a characteristic of information technology that is

2019-02-12 00:56:14 UTC

- on a side note u think rn the expectation is fusion to be solved between 2040-2050 but I haven't followed that as closely
