there's no consistent set of principles for either "side"
yes
but the Malice definition seems to be a good description
the principle is simply whether u are egalitarian-first, or recognize people are different not equal first
and u can get splintering ideologies based off those first two branches
well that also depends on what you mean by "people are equal"
legally, yes. On average people dont deviate that much for the most part. Even lefties though will ultimately admit that skill levels are different
yes? đ
blank slatism is not universal on the left
and even when it is it's often selective
Thatâs part of the speech
Which isnât to say itâs morally wrong, itâs just part of the definition
I think you get people on the right who would also ask what you mean by equal
Sure
And i have to admit Iâm sticking to a formula that I heard from Malice so I canât own it, altho I do believe its accuracy
But the script is to simply restate the question. Part of the reason the test works is because u leave it to the subject to determine what u mean by âequalâ
The frame they see âequalityâ in is indicative of the leftiness or rightiness
Speaking for myself,
I would consider first that peaceful society relies on treating everybodyâs person and property with equal respect, and that this behavior is a given and doesnât need explanation
Oh big correction here
Sorry thatâs actually a significant deviationâ
Oh, then lefties will definitely say yes, because there's those evil nazi racist bigots :^)
Thatâs a fascinating answer
Iâd even say that breaks the question
Good counterpoint
Anyway the natural rightwing answer is that some people are observably better than others
Whether itâs nature or environment, or other circumstances, that some people are better than others

Canât see the vid, low BW on LTE
Is that the IâM BETTER THAN YOU rant?
RIP
yes
touche
the legend
But i think when Lefties talk about being better than someone, the only circumstance they use that os when they perceive someone else thinks they are superior in some way or that some people, even not them individually, are better, and that is the one cardinal sin of egalitarianism
So only in that circumstance do lefties think one person is better than another, inherently. When a person is not egalitarian, that is what makes them bad
Thereâs always at least one paradox in any set of logic and I think this is the paradox of Maliceâs definition of left/right
I just prefer to not use left/right out of shitposting and have been slowly training myself to stop
But I have a nasty but not uncommon habit of picking up lingo from social circles
