@CCRed95 check out https://www.youtube.com/3blue1brown
for really great intuitive videos on math.
i read that you were getting hung up on calc 2
Oooh, looks interesting!!! subbed and belled my guy
First vid Fourier Transforms, had to learn that for work a bit ago
cool cool. hes got a whole series for each subject. his visuals are all done via his own python lib
i havent had to deal with fourier transforms yet, but i will have to next spring
I almost exploded my brain trying to write a mathematical model for a surface cubic/quadric/quadratic/catmull/rom spline algorithms that model the color space relationally of the Material Design Color Palette
are those all surface smoothing algos?
I wanted to be able to interpolate between the defined colors in the material design color palette mathematically, by analyzing the color spatial data as a series of 3d mesh nets
The goal was to use it for some of the gradient type effects on my charting / data visualization library, but instead of being a gradient of color points, its a gradient of swatch sets that can vary in luminosity 0->1000 and fit to the palette while conforming to a very very smooth looking gradient set instead of choppy with linear.
And no, it was NOT worth the effort lol
thats pretty interesting. is that stuff what you often work with?
lol i was gonna say
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCgnWqoP4MM I wrote the data acquisition, industrial analytics, and intelligent manufacturing system for this project
Yeah, I mean i had no business spending like 3 weeks straight fucking around with color gradient autistic details and that absolutely nobody will notice or appreciate except me hahaha
howd you get into that?
Thanks man 😃 yeah that was a fun project
And lol i dropped outta college after 2 semesters and accidentally got a job doing an $80 mil data system for a fucking nazi insane company when i was like 19
im really shocked that that didnt go absolutely horrifically lol
lol talk about the exception to the rule.
lots of amphetamine and 80 hour weeks hahaha
mostly self taught then?
lol god bless adderall
Yup only self taught, i cant learn from a classroom
Code you gotta learn by doing, and just picking a project idea and doing it and not following some stupid tutorial
for sure. i'm a CS undergrad at UC Berkeley
Oooh yeah??
yezzir
What sort of development area are you interested in?
hopefully graduating next spring
anything that will make me money
ive done some android apps for non-profits, those were fun
im not interested in web dev.
Hell yeah dude, thats awesome, yeah programming if you are good at it and enjoy it you can make quite a bit of money very quick
and UGHHH
