I was making the point that if any politician is more legit because they served their country it would be someone like Crenshaw. I dont know all his policies.

2019-08-04 14:49:46 UTC

i mean, it's the preseason. none of this really matters that much.

2019-08-04 14:50:41 UTC

Apart from her non-interventionism w.r.t. Syria, I think Tulsi 2020 is basically just another meme.

2019-08-04 14:51:00 UTC

attractive anti-war veteran gets more attention than she deserves it's not a big deal. she's also legitimately different from a lot of the other dems, so stands out in that respect.

2019-08-04 14:51:20 UTC

She did legit destroy Kamala Harris.

2019-08-04 14:51:39 UTC

Her attention for that is understandable.

2019-08-04 14:52:31 UTC

The weird appreciation for her on the right started before that though. Thats what I dont get.

2019-08-04 14:54:22 UTC

How does she stand out from other Dems other than her foreign policy? 2A, illegal aliens, medicare for all, wahmenses rights and the economy.. she seems like just another Dem on all those things.

2019-08-04 14:57:41 UTC

“We need to invest in 100% renewable and safe energy sources like wind, solar, and geothermal." - Tulsi

2019-08-04 14:58:03 UTC

and she supports a ban on fracking

2019-08-04 14:58:05 UTC

It is fixation with her foreign policy.

2019-08-04 15:17:03 UTC

She is the most reasonable Democrat candidate

2019-08-04 15:17:12 UTC

still wouldn't vote for her

2019-08-04 15:20:56 UTC

Tulsi is least worst.

2019-08-04 15:24:22 UTC

Tulsi and Bernie are at best props for debate ratings because neither of them has a support base within the DNC apparatus.

2019-08-04 15:28:43 UTC

I keep seeing conflicting reports is the manifesto real or not?

2019-08-04 15:29:54 UTC

Don't know, gut says no. But that's a guess

2019-08-04 15:30:18 UTC

Did you read it?

2019-08-04 15:30:46 UTC

Parts of it, was on Drudge last night

as the socialist utopia comes closer, my plans for fleeing this burning country become more concrete

2019-08-04 15:59:00 UTC

It's not just foreign policy. Tulsi is also willing to have actual conversations without frothing at the mouth over absolutely everything. That said, most of her "support" outside of the tiny dem following she has are non voters and more like "respectful opponents"

2019-08-04 16:03:13 UTC

She is the most reasonable, I agree. But for this reason she will not be the Dem nominee

2019-08-04 16:09:08 UTC

That's why I'd say she needs some degree of support - y'all need to bring civil discourse back into politics

2019-08-04 16:13:25 UTC

In 2016 Bernie had overwhelming support (till he became a corporate shill), he didn't get the nomination. Reports from the time said he actually won the primaries but in a closed door meeting Hillary was anointed the chosen one. Peoples support does not matter to the Dems, it's the illusion of choice. The DNC lawsuit, they argued that they could pick the nominee from a smoke filled room and just ignore votes. It's in court documents somewhere.

2019-08-04 16:14:07 UTC

I'm not talking about winning the nomination. I'm talking about culture

2019-08-04 16:15:39 UTC

Also people's support will matter when they lack funding

2019-08-04 16:16:04 UTC

I agree, the system is so corrupted now. They say one thing, inflame the messes and insight disharmony. I don't know what can be done, Trump is our biggest hope at the moment (In m opinion)

2019-08-04 16:16:14 UTC

The attraction for tulsi started when she stood against the dnc in 2016 for screwing over bernie

2019-08-04 16:16:47 UTC

I think Trump is too knee jerk, and supports a lot of the same dumb shit, but he was a good "fuck you" to the establishment

2019-08-04 16:16:59 UTC

Sticking it to the DNC in 2016 is exactly why Tulsi will go nowhere in 2019.

2019-08-04 16:17:29 UTC

The DNC's current trajectory is why they'll lose in 2020

2019-08-04 16:18:41 UTC

Were I the arbiter here, I'd rather support reasonable people who won't win in the slightest over unreasonable people who will lose by less. The politics in that regard are irrelevant

2019-08-04 16:18:45 UTC

Still not convinced there will not be a big anti trump movememt in 2020 for those who are just tired of the news talking about trump

2019-08-04 16:18:45 UTC

Frosty, the GOP tried to rig its 2016 primary but fortunately for the GOP the GOP is too inept at primary rigging.

2019-08-04 16:18:50 UTC

When a bolt is rusted and can not be turned. Sometimes a good "knee jerk" can get the job done

2019-08-04 16:19:13 UTC

Yeah it's real great when Trump botches his own foreign policy and attacks 2a

2019-08-04 16:19:20 UTC

Sure is fixing the system

2019-08-04 16:19:30 UTC

Some people will vote against trump in hopes appeasing media will quiet it down
