they come in damn sharp and stay that way quite long time

perfect for gifts for friends who have really shitty knives

(i have the 8 inch deba-style one in my work case for reason)

their cleaver is damn good too

i think your local market has good knifes if you live in china

look for fulltang wooden handles specialy if they are localy made

or ask around from butchers

ali express etc sites dont have good knifes that i have seen/heard/tried

local markets there might have tojiroäs

also some giheis might be cheap there

gihei hap40 is helluva knife even tho brittle and pain in the ass to sharpen but when it does it stays sharp long long time

my best knifes are 50c vietnamese carbon steel ones

they look hand made, though made by a peasant

i have 300 quid damasc steel kitchen knife but i prefer my chinky ones, dunno why
