it's a survive as long as you can thing, with an explicit points system and weapon upgrades

left 4 Dead isn't arcadey at all compared to CoD zombies

I'm sad at how that game died, but happens to everything I guess

now most of what you have are newbies who... for some reason refuse to learn

my favorite wave survival FPS game is Halo firefight mode

I love the L4D. The Weapons / Horde / Maps are just IMHO nearly perfect.

Does that make sense? It just manages to get that balance so right.

I was playing the new Skaven one and felt like it really lacked a lot of the balance that made L4D so good.

I feel it's great at balancing yeah. I just don't really get much engagement from it. nothing to work towards. I like long term goals

I guess that's why Destiny 2 is great, it blends MMO grind and commitment elements with really fun smooth FPS gameplay

I was walking around the starting area and I found a guy who was playing like he'd never played an FPS game in his life

I followed him around for several minutes, helping him with some things. he knew how to jump but didn't seem to know you can sprint or lift
