i have a 2080 and a valve index

When I boot steam vr it ask me to plug the index in even though it is plugged in usb 3.0 and all I tried it on a friend pc and it worked perfectly so its not the index itself

so its not recognizing the device then?

I have 2 both recognised that something has been plugged into them

go into steamvr menu. select Devices and click restart headset.

ok unplug the breakaway cable and plug it back in. restart steamvr, then tell me what color the lights are

Still blue

ok unplug the headset from the usb port. go into steamvr status window and select Menu > Developer > Remove All SteamVR USB Devices.
when this is done, plug the headset back into the usb port and wait for the drivers to install.

if that doesnt fix it, then valve says to contact steam support.

My friend had H3 so I mess with that I never shot anything besides a 22 and a shotgun so it was cool one thing I notice is a lot of guns look smaller then I thought they would be like the ak 47 look slimmer and smaller then I had in my head

yea theyre not as massive as some ppl think. the ar as well. i own one irl. the level of detail they put into it is impressive.

you can check to see if you have a round in the chamber by slowly pulling the bolt/slide back and visually verifiying.
