Thanks. Dunno why I couldn't find it.
Remember guys, blondhesians never die
yoooo edward snowden was on joe rogan yesterday
I'm going crazy here I have a gtx 1080 and the Displayports (DP) dont work all 3 of them I need them for the valve index to function (ive tried all the drivers and firmware updates)
Windows 7 btw
If that has anything to do with it
what does it do?
i have a 2080 and a valve index
When I boot steam vr it ask me to plug the index in even though it is plugged in usb 3.0 and all I tried it on a friend pc and it worked perfectly so its not the index itself
so its not recognizing the device then?
Yeah
hmm. do you have a different usb3.0 port you can try on your comp?
I have 2 both recognised that something has been plugged into them
So I dont think its that
go into steamvr menu. select Devices and click restart headset.
see if that does anything
No opition for that just a grayed out update device, pair controllers, and controller settings
controllers too? hmm. do you have your base stations set up and on?
Yeah they look good
this might sound silly, but have you restarted the computer yet?
Like 80 times
I download a lot of drivers so I had too
and you've made sure to power on the headset too?
sorry for the simple questions
Light are on
oh good!
ok so we know that
lemme poke around a bit more
Dont push your self don't want you going crazy about this like me
But if you find anything it woild help
what color are the lights on the headset?
Blue
ok unplug the breakaway cable and plug it back in. restart steamvr, then tell me what color the lights are
Still blue
ok unplug the headset from the usb port. go into steamvr status window and select Menu > Developer > Remove All SteamVR USB Devices.
when this is done, plug the headset back into the usb port and wait for the drivers to install.
if that doesnt fix it, then valve says to contact steam support.
