The stats in there about child abuse are startling.

2019-11-07 04:17:22 UTC

I'll check it, not a huge fan of the dude, but I follow him anyways

2019-11-07 04:17:35 UTC

Do tell, Chet

2019-11-07 04:17:59 UTC

He's obnoxious, but most brilliant people are, I think.

2019-11-07 04:18:24 UTC

Yeah, I think some of it is based, but not sure that he does more good than harm

2019-11-07 04:18:35 UTC

he's kind of toxic, easily meme-able

2019-11-07 04:18:39 UTC

I dunno, *I'm* pretty brilliant but I'm not obnoxious!

2019-11-07 04:18:54 UTC

now let me tell you my theory about how essential oils can replace vaccines

2019-11-07 04:19:16 UTC

oh shit lol

2019-11-07 04:19:21 UTC

🤣

2019-11-07 04:19:29 UTC

on that note I'm going to go to bed, but I enjoyed the conversation

2019-11-07 04:19:48 UTC

Sweet dreams, ~~comrade~~ friend

2019-11-07 04:19:54 UTC

LOL

2019-11-07 04:20:15 UTC

The book is about a "Psycho-Historian" where he regails the reader/listener with the results of his research into original source material from numerous cultures on the topic of child sexual abuse, and how that effected their mythologies and warlike character. It is nauseating.

2019-11-07 04:20:36 UTC

I'm legit interested.

2019-11-07 04:20:39 UTC

I'll check it

2019-11-07 04:20:42 UTC

Thanks

2019-11-07 04:20:45 UTC

Same, I'll add it to the list

2019-11-07 04:21:11 UTC

G'night y'all

2019-11-07 04:21:29 UTC

Good night! @clubfrills

2019-11-07 04:22:40 UTC

We're goin' to bed soon but I enjoyed listening in

2019-11-07 04:25:41 UTC

I can't find the audiobook link, but here's text. https://psychohistory.com/books/the-origins-of-war-in-child-abuse/

2019-11-07 04:25:50 UTC

oh, evn better

2019-11-07 04:25:52 UTC

even*

2019-11-07 04:26:04 UTC

thank you, I found it on Soundcloud but I prefer reading

2019-11-07 04:26:25 UTC

I'm the opposite. 😅

2019-11-07 04:26:37 UTC

haha ❤

2019-11-07 04:26:46 UTC

It's the differences in life that make the world more interesting!

2019-11-07 04:26:51 UTC

Unless someone's Muslim

2019-11-07 04:27:27 UTC

I had an "I'm not tolerant of intolerance" joke but I'm tired and forgot it 😴

2019-11-07 04:28:18 UTC

They deleted all of my favorite emojis, so all I can say is "IKR?!"

2019-11-07 04:28:36 UTC

2019-11-07 04:30:39 UTC

It's nice to visit my relatives in Slovokia because they'll say "We should kill every Muslim everywhere!" in a resturant, and everyone within earshot will cheer. 🍻

2019-11-07 04:31:17 UTC

thank God

2019-11-07 04:31:22 UTC

That makes me feel better

2019-11-07 04:32:04 UTC

Stefan Molyneux is the only atheist that I admire. he has his priorities straight

2019-11-07 04:34:16 UTC

He struggles with his Atheism, as do I. You should never trust anyone whose religion was not brought about by intense internal struggle. It's not faith if you just accept what was laid out in front of you as a child; that's submission; compliance.

2019-11-07 04:34:59 UTC

I'm one of those atheists who thinks Church atrendance should be MANDATORY.

2019-11-07 04:41:50 UTC

I think the Left was more rational and reasonable in the 1960's because their Intelligencia were getting their marching orders from the KGB, which while evil, was rational. If the Left is out of control, it is because they are not subject to any higher authority; no Pope of Socialist thought according to the Supreme Council. The result is chaos.

2019-11-07 04:57:23 UTC

Do you go to Church then?

2019-11-07 05:00:20 UTC

I'm going to use you guys as a sounding board for an idea I had

I was thinking you could separate intelligence into 2 broad categories
Practical and Intellectual
Practical is what you'd call street smarts and common sense, it's about working within the parameters of a system like our society
Where as intellectual is about trying to work outside those parameters
Practical intelligence is very grounded
Intellectual intelligence is what allows people dream big and innovate they can potentially expand the parameters but that comes at a risk, by losing the grounding of practical intelligence you start chasing the idea and forget about the parameters entirely and become purely theoretical there's when you get really impractical ideas like Socialism, they only work in theory because it doesn't work within our current parameters
