Like pregnancy issues and neonatal research it's one of the most poorly research parts of health and medicine.

2019-11-18 04:31:20 UTC

Nobody wants to join a study as a pregnant woman, and nobody wants to put their kids in studies either.

2019-11-18 04:32:16 UTC

❤️

2019-11-18 04:32:35 UTC

this is not good, this behavior leads to everything being threadbare

2019-11-18 04:32:43 UTC

lol

2019-11-18 04:32:50 UTC

My father and some of my cousins required speech therapy. They are all pretty intelligent. Don't sweat it.

2019-11-18 04:33:04 UTC

Also you don't want to encourage such crotchety behavior

2019-11-18 04:33:17 UTC

she really smart, its just communication is frustrating for everyone, her included

2019-11-18 04:33:22 UTC

I'm not even sure the speach therapy does anything

2019-11-18 04:33:27 UTC

2019-11-18 04:33:43 UTC

OUr therapist is freaking joke

2019-11-18 04:33:48 UTC

It's like a lot of early childhood intervention makes no difference by middle school.

2019-11-18 04:33:49 UTC

LOL
sorry I totally agree

2019-11-18 04:34:08 UTC

the new one seems to be really good but its private. Ferguson school district is a joke

2019-11-18 04:34:13 UTC

she barely spends any time with her, spends it talking to us

2019-11-18 04:34:21 UTC

Maybe people just outgrow it.

2019-11-18 04:34:26 UTC

there was a... I think it was a schoolsucks episode but maybe it was JRE, but the guy was talking about just that

2019-11-18 04:34:36 UTC

thats what i say too <@645837018064224259> but they say they need 1 on 1

2019-11-18 04:34:37 UTC

nature makes up more of a difference than we're comfortable believing

2019-11-18 04:34:50 UTC

as long as you dont traumatize your kid they'll probably be pretty okay

2019-11-18 04:34:53 UTC

I just saw an article the other day about how people are probably getting unecessary tongue tie surgeries

2019-11-18 04:35:20 UTC

or rather people are having their babies get it because some childhood development "professional" tells them if they don't it'll cause developmental disabilities

2019-11-18 04:35:37 UTC

ok ya thats stupid

2019-11-18 04:36:04 UTC

we saw an IBCLC who specialixed in tongue tie and release, but she said Xandria didnt need one, it was a position issue

2019-11-18 04:36:21 UTC

Unnecessary surgery on kids is child abuse.

2019-11-18 04:36:39 UTC

Well that's when you get involved with pediatric specialists who are obsessed with intervention

2019-11-18 04:36:43 UTC

Ive asked if it was possibly the tongue tie, but I took classes on speech in college for my english degree so I was asking the therapist pointed questions about if she was capable of making certain movements

2019-11-18 04:37:09 UTC

glottal stops, voices and un voices fricatives and plossives

2019-11-18 04:37:14 UTC

I'm going to have to look it up

2019-11-18 04:37:21 UTC

I honestly don't know what it is LOL

2019-11-18 04:37:33 UTC

There's a lot of people with various kinds of oral ties, labial and otherwise who have no problems.

2019-11-18 04:37:54 UTC

The mechanics of speech is very interesting.
