yeah real freedom is basically the ability to be disciplined because then you have real control over yourself if you don't have that control then you just an animal and you have no freedom because you're just a slave to your instincts

if not just technology it's basically our philosophy when you use science or technology as your God instead of God Almighty then you reorient your worldview to think that freedom comes from the ability to do whatever you want rather than to do whatever is right and moral

because ultimately the ability to do what you want comes from self-control or self-discipline which you can only have from the knowledge of what is good and evil
