2017-03-31 21:12:36 UTC

Yet another new Chink phone brand pops up with their first phone, last year around this time it was Vernee with the Thor and now we've got MAZE with the Blade

2017-03-31 21:12:46 UTC

Is this quality any good

2017-03-31 21:13:37 UTC

It's a hat

2017-03-31 21:13:59 UTC

text looks actually embroided unlike some that are just printed

2017-03-31 21:14:01 UTC

go for it

2017-03-31 21:15:58 UTC

@Tribit Thor E exists after MWC, which has neat 5000mah battery and stock android... But it bumps the ram down to 2gb and the fingerprint sensor is apparently not too great

2017-03-31 21:16:27 UTC

Vernee is neat, wish they'd start using snapdragons

2017-03-31 21:16:46 UTC

everything else about them has been decent so far

2017-03-31 21:16:55 UTC

phones with near stock android

2017-03-31 21:17:35 UTC

I've read they have stock android + Uber app and some wallpapers from Vernee

2017-03-31 21:17:54 UTC

yeah that's the only stuff it comes preloaded with

2017-03-31 21:17:55 UTC

Sadly saw a review that showed the Thor fail completely after a month

2017-03-31 21:17:58 UTC

so it's pretty much stock

2017-03-31 21:18:30 UTC

I'd rather pay 150% and get 150% of the specs that'll last some years from xiaomeme

2017-03-31 21:18:32 UTC

there was also the issue of the Thor not having quickcharge capabilities as initially promised or something along those lines

2017-03-31 21:18:59 UTC

yeah I'm pleased with my Xiaomeme

2017-03-31 21:20:47 UTC

If they manage to make the mi6 similar in size to the Redmi 4 I'll be quite interested, although it'll probably be $400+ for the SD835 version unless my guesstimation is way off

2017-03-31 21:22:01 UTC

Expect a Mi6c later down the I suppose

2017-03-31 21:25:07 UTC

I wouldn't want a surge SoC until I'm sure there are at least debloated ROMs for it

2017-03-31 21:28:46 UTC

I'm a bit confused why they let the Redmi series be battery king over the Mi[number]
