go for the tennmaks unless you take your iems in and out a lot

over ear cable'd iems are a lot safer for your ear-drums

yanking on the cable pulls on the top of the ear like a pulley and twists the iem out

rather than with just down haning ones it straight pulls out

which doesnt break the seal and has a higher chance of perforating your eardrum

its just not quite as ergonomic

and the cables arent designed for it so they dont have any metal to hold the cable in shape
