go for the tennmaks unless you take your iems in and out a lot

over ear cable'd iems are a lot safer for your ear-drums

yanking on the cable pulls on the top of the ear like a pulley and twists the iem out

rather than with just down haning ones it straight pulls out

which doesnt break the seal and has a higher chance of perforating your eardrum
