but everything's jusut done in software
with a good audio interface
freebsd sucks, don't use an operating system that not even the core devs use
the hardware's just there to impress producers
right but remember audiophools only listen to analog production vinyl records of the beatles
so their precious analog mixing board filled with lm741 is funny to me
i've got a soft spot for vinyl because that's what i remember our family using sometimes
when they complain about anything less than a $30 opamp in theuir headphone amp
the syntrend in taipei has a floor dedicated to audio
and 1/3 of it is a place where you can buy new or old vinyl records
i doubt i'll ever buy from there but it sure looks cool
http://upload.review33.com/avforum/201607/201607281121453400.jpg it's a nice place
if i had the room i'd probably get into vinyl, but mostly for archival of obscure old music nobody cares about
install OpenBSD
tape too, i really like compact cassettes
god i hate how default xfce looks
whaaat
even though its my favorite de
XFCE is the most sexy DE out there
Don't fall for the Gnome bloat
gimme the Ugly Unix look
i fell for it once but it was shit
its just shittier macos
like gnome dreams about being macos
the settings menus on macos and gnome look almost identical
i wonder why
>transparency
>wasting GPU resources
gotta see that debian logo
also not worried about gpu, probably not even gonna bother upgraging gpu at first when i build a new desktop
i just need moarcores and more ram
only thing that sucks with xfce is screen tearing
will you go rAYYzen?
anyone here who 3d prints knows the slic3r struggle
but you can fix that with compton
i could absolutely take advantage of a quad xeon rig and a couple hundred gigs of ram
I would like to get some ITX VIA boards for the no-botnet x86 experience now that I'm in Taiwan
also: bulk ebook conversion
when you have a few hundred thousand pdfs to convert to epub you start to appreciate more ram and more cpu real quick
