also it's slow since the effector needs to be really heavy to support an extruder strong enough to squeeze out clay

you'd need proper rails and lead screws on all axes, not a couple steel shafts and a belt

you'd basically be building a biiig milling machine but with a extruder instead of a spindle

a clay extruder would look something like a filament extruder, but you'd need a much stronger motor driving the augur and a hopper that can support the weight

since yknow clay is pretty heavy

it's just really not practical to print clay

the point being that you need a clay delivery system

i guess you could run the clay through a tube but that'd be unreliable
