@Make Stop

2017-07-03 19:54:30 UTC

I had my shit sent with DHL and had to pay zero custom duties, same with @Shrimpf

2017-07-03 19:54:50 UTC

Yep

2017-07-03 19:54:54 UTC

No trouble

2017-07-03 19:55:23 UTC

If the image circle doesn't cover the sensor, it means the lens doesn't project the image all over it meaning the edges is pure blur that won't have any chance to be rescued with any amount of work in post

2017-07-03 19:55:46 UTC

so i just had to explain cock.li to my gf

2017-07-03 19:55:47 UTC

As well as serious vingetting

2017-07-03 19:55:52 UTC

she thought it was hilarious <:aliOK:251417852156837888>

2017-07-03 19:56:03 UTC

I can definitely only focus the center of the image

2017-07-03 19:56:04 UTC

it might be only dhl express then @Tribit

2017-07-03 19:56:14 UTC

But I'll do your photo requests tomorrow

2017-07-03 19:57:06 UTC

@Make shipped out of China with DHL, not sure what you are talking about

2017-07-03 19:58:12 UTC

I wanted to buy a chink fish-eye but they're so expensive and I am not brave enough to invest the money blindly

2017-07-03 19:58:15 UTC

@Tribit DHL express charges 20€ for doing import custom duties for you and if you want to do them by yourself it's 40€

2017-07-03 19:58:19 UTC

It's been the autistic way of measuring a lens in image quality for many many decades.
I only have one lens that manages it, and it's not a wide angle.

2017-07-03 19:58:22 UTC

Dhl are top tier jews

2017-07-03 19:58:38 UTC

just live in america

2017-07-03 19:58:43 UTC

In finland they will do customs with very shady text message

2017-07-03 19:58:43 UTC

Buy a used Samyang (Rokinon) fisheye with Nikon mount instead

2017-07-03 19:58:53 UTC

And make u pay extra

2017-07-03 19:58:53 UTC

then I need a Nikon -> NEX adapter?

2017-07-03 19:58:57 UTC

Yes

2017-07-03 19:59:05 UTC

but they're also 100 bucks +

2017-07-03 19:59:10 UTC

You can do it yourself but it will still cost extra

2017-07-03 19:59:36 UTC

Here if you order outside EU it is strongly adviced not to use DHL so I just said you should check for your own country also

2017-07-03 19:59:48 UTC

Also since I bought that camera, I'm taking photos of everything, so I will probably buy a better camera soon anyway since it's starting to become a nice timesink. Not sure if I want to invest big amounts in sony E platform

2017-07-03 19:59:49 UTC

But it doesn't have any electronic transmission, so it doesn't matter if it's adapted though it being Nikon mount means you can sell it much easier when you realize that fisheye is a terrible meme

2017-07-03 19:59:56 UTC

@fedora yeah it costs 40€ if you do it yourself and 20€ if dhl does it

2017-07-03 20:00:14 UTC

Which camera did you buy?

2017-07-03 20:00:28 UTC

A second-hand Alpha 5100

2017-07-03 20:00:45 UTC

@Tribit when did you make your order? This is fairly new thing came out thi may

2017-07-03 20:00:55 UTC

It was like 250$ with incl. lens

2017-07-03 20:01:20 UTC

2 y/o

2017-07-03 20:02:20 UTC

If you **truly** outgrow that in less than 2 years (excluding need for viewfinder), I'll send you my nex 7

2017-07-03 20:02:25 UTC

@Make April and this fairly new thing still means fuck all @Shrimpf bought his phone two weeks ago and got it last week

2017-07-03 20:02:32 UTC

"DHL From China $ 17.00 It takes around 3-6 days to get the parcel after the order is shipped out."

2017-07-03 20:02:49 UTC

I didn't mean "soon" to buy a new one

2017-07-03 20:03:12 UTC

but let's just take those two years: If I'm going to drop the platform in 2 years, why would I invest high amounts in additional accessories?

2017-07-03 20:04:44 UTC

" Following the above interview, several King's viewers / readers were contacted by email, email, and comments below.

The viewers reported that making the customs clearance itself will soon be no longer free of charge: it will pay 40 euros from May.

Yes, you read correctly, self-service costs 40 euros and DHL's customs clearance is about half less.

DHL calls the fee as a "delivery service fee" and says it is common in the express courier sector. No payment can be avoided: "
