Let's say one ear phone is 5 hours could I just use one at a time and when one dies switch to the other ?

I haven't found any that last 8 hours but I use these for work - http://www.gearbest.com/sports-fitness-headphones/pp_356162.html they are rated for 6hrs and actually seem to last that long
